I think the official word on vote kick is it's not punishable, despite what the warnings say. No one has ever been called out for it, and the number of times it's been put to GM's the reason it's not followed up is because "it's a player dispute". Honestly, the whole vote kick system angers me because of how frequently it's abused and how little power the GM's seem to have over it.

Pro tip SE, don't put a warning on the vote kick if you're too scared to back it up with appropriate action against abuse.

I read about this abuse kicked plenty of times in forums and I finally experienced for the first time this morning while in Darkhold. Lv50 PLD trying to speed run it and is being stupid about, meanwhile, I'm leveling up DRG. After 2 wipes, I asked him to stop trying to speed run, and after the 3rd wipe, he kicked me. Seriously, some players do not deserve their relic weapon at all. SE need to take relic out of old dungeons, let them run World of Salt or whatever new raid for a 1000 times—let them try and speed run that instead—every 250 runs they get the next stage upgrade.

Same thing happened to me awhile back, just chalked it up to the idiot factor. Its not worth sweating over some morons you happened across in the DF...

How is that DPS's fault when someone else gets eaten? DPS does not choose who it targets. DPS simply depletes the HP of the mouth so it releases who it ate, aka focus on that. The first time it ate someone was me and you can't DPS while eaten, then it ate healer. When it ate the healer someone put a marker on its mouth so people know to target it. I already had it targeted and attacking when the mark went up. I always switch to mouth moment it eats someone.

One DPS is more than enough to break its hold, assuming players are doing their jobs.

In this described scenario you can freely blame this problem on the other dps.

Hey at least its not before the final boss.
I once got kicked in pre nerfed pharos right before the tyrant fight.
I just put down my controller and was like wtf. No wipes/ deaths and i even dps'd monsters as a healer. It just happened and there was nothing i can do except re qeue in progress and fck with them after .
We cleared the dungeon but i gave em a good scolding. But yea

I don't think you are a victim of personal vendetta. As a matter of fact its quite the opposite, lots of people will get an FC call, then kick the only member on party that's not FC and let their mate join party in progress.

They are probably all on TS3 or something, that's why there's no communication via chat log at all.

The moment this actually ever happens to me I'll probably just start recording my dungeon runs on my ps4, now that it has that convenient feature. That way I get definitive proof, and the GM's will have no choice but to take action

^ this. SE needs to man the ×××× up, define clear rules and take sides and investigate such cases and serve due punishment in due time - in so many matters I can't even keep track of it. Only today this is the third thread I read where this is being said. And the fact that it has to be said is just - sad.

Eh something here doesn't add up. One TC you just admitted something about the fight that tells me that you don't know much about the mechanics. You CAN pass the target/tether onto someone else by moving over another person btw. You said you can't but in fact you actually can. Your ilvl is 105, that's pretty low. I wouldn't say low enough that you wouldn't be able to do that dungeon but it's still low. Low enough that one dps couldn't break you out of the mouth? possible.


We now know that the reason they kicked you was because you weren't dpsing the mouth to break out the healer. You admitted that the healer died. There's only a very few ways for a healer to die in that fight but the common one is that they get eaten and they don't get broken out of the mouth. But you're saying that you did dps the mouth but dps seemed unusually low. One dps is enough to break someone out as the mouth is weak. Somethings not adding up sadly. That's really the only way I can see the healer dying. So since they died from not being broken out of the mouth but you were dpsing the mouth then only two things can come out of this.

Either you were dpsing the mouth like you said you were and the other dps wasn't. But your dps wasn't good enough to break them out so they died and put full blame on you for it. Or you're lying and you weren't dpsing the mouth and the healer died and they removed you. Don't know what to tell you other than move on from it honestly.
