Please start the new jobs at level 1

Doesn't this mean if you are freshly off the boat, you'll still have to play a class until you unlock the jobs? I can't see them straight up give you level 30 when you just start subbing the game.

This is fine. A newbie can level a class to 30, possibly another class to 15 and then unlock the Job at 30 (as it has always been). What isn't fine, to me, is locking the new Jobs behind a level 50 plot wall. A new player might not like the current Jobs and only bought FFXIV and Heavensward just so they can play as DRK, AST or MCH. Well tough luck on them, seems they will have to deal with the entire trek to level 50 and i90 just to touch Ishgard.

This can make the new player feel like they wasted their money. Unless SE put "areas in Heavensward will be inaccessible until you finish Before the Fall Part 2" in giant bold letters somewhere on the box (or website for digital downloads), there is a big chance new players will have no idea they can not enter Ishgard to unlock the new Jobs.
