That's a funny story. I always complained about tanks wanting to rush dungeons. Then I got a PLD to 50, and now both DPS and healers keep pulling mobs and holding themselves hostage to strong-arm me into rushing the dungeon. I seriously don't know what to think about that anymore *shrugs*
My argument is:
When smns and blms in 24 man content figure out which buttons hurt the bad guys... I may be inclined to sing. As it stands, I frequently find those who struggle to put out more damage than a tank... And dies every time a mechanic offers the opportunity.
Frankly: you're not worth the 3 sec cast time.
Hate to be bitter about it, but the 24 man community has really disappointed me. WoD has been practically unrunable since the loot gate was removed.
So your solution to bad players is to be a bad player? That really adds to the 24 man community you're disappointed in.My argument is:

If I'm a healer and someone keeps dying within seconds of rezzing, well beyond what's reasonable, I'm going to stop rezzing. That's not being a bad player.
Bards? Singing?
Ha.
I did a WoD yesterday where my other healer was dead, our tank was MTing and I had 60 MP.
I have a macro asking Bards to sing Ballad.
I pushed it 50 times in a row and got nothing.
I just... I don't even know what to say about some of the posts in here. No wonder there are Bards that for some reason don't sing though... Where's the popcorn?
Anyway, whenever I play as a BRD myself, I always make use of the songs. Foe Requiem the most as it doesn't even lower my own DPS, but I'll make more use of Mage's Ballad or Army's Paeon depending on party performance, and I'll usually reserve Battle Voice for Mage and Army.
That's the way I play BRD though. Apparently, others can't be bothered to play songs at all. Hopefully, MAC will lean more towards being even more DPS focused than BRDs, and hopefully the people that can't be bothered to use the songs will just jump on the bandwagon to being a MAC instead then. Too little info to go on right now though.
It's crap mindsets like this that piss me off. It's people like this that make me wish that you lost any loot you rolled on and won if abandoning duty prior to completion.
So because I don't sing, you don't do DPS, so I don't sing?
Circular argument at best.
Also: from my point of view... Requiem is not going to help you dodge mortal gaze any better. I will ballad if the fight has gone to an obnoxious length and the healer hasn't died to standing in vomit without being shrunk 5 times.
I am not here to be a songstress for failure or your personal juke box. I do enough of that for my static (happily mind you).
Do your stuff right and I'll reward you with my support. Do things wrong and don't expect a helping hand (unless you can humble yourselves enough to actually ask for a little).
