    Abolish Random

So in FF8, the game Triple Triad was born from, there was the option to abolish rules out of regions because said rules were stupid and nobody enjoyed them. Well...we can't do that in game but this is my plea to the devs.

    ABOLISH RANDOM RULE!?

Nobody seems to find it fun, against NPC's it's just purely stacked against you no matter how many cards you have. The game is a deck based strategy game and random takes the strategy out. It's a terrible, unfun rule that makes certain NPC's nothing but frustrating. I say NPC's because I've never once run into another player who was like..let's play random!

Yeah me too. Really fun to play everytime something else. Put roulette into the mix and you certainly won't get bored playing it for a while.
PS: Took me over 700 wins to get Lightning Card from Tataru.

    What I personally think is:
    1. When random is in play, abolish the deck limitations for player
    2. Add more low level cards to npc who have random/chaos rule like they did to swift
    3. At the very least, remove time gate for random/chaos npc. It's bad enough to have RNG on top of RNG, and to time gate them on top of that? I'm looking at you tataru. (At least she have a longer window than swift)

    This game is not FF8.

Plus a lot of people find it fun. You are not entitled to speak on behalf of the whole playerbase.

What I think they should do is have us pick a small group of cards from our deck for the computer to pick randomly from, that way it isn't so bad and more equal to the NPCs.

I said seems. Take your tumble social justice attitude somewhere else. The folks I talk to and play with and some of the threads in the forums to me SEEM to indicate that a larger chunk of folks dislike the rule because it makes you pretty much always loose no matter what, takes strategy out of the strategy game.

It's okay tho, do you feel better for breathing fire?

I have no problem with random rule or any of the rules. The difficulty of NPC's are not a problem in my opinion.

I do have an issue with how bad RNG can get on drops though and I think SE should implement a counter balance system like I mentioned in another thread. The worse luck you have the system helps improve your odds but just by little increments the more bad luck you have, then system resets when the item drops. Currently RNG can screw someone over for an eternity but a counter balance system would not allow that to happen and would only help those with extremely bad luck.

It would not have much if any effect on those who just have normal levels of bad luck and I emphasize 'extremely' above because at a certain point "RNG is RNG" is no longer acceptable, no one deserves to spend years farming something only never to have it drop because of RNG alone and no one has infinite patience...so a system to counter the worst case situations of RNG should be implemented. Such a system could be implemented for use on things like relics>zenith aspects and TT card drops for example. The system itself I imagine would be quite simple to create too, maybe a single or couple lines of code and one additional variable maybe added to certain items.
