We r forced to abide by the random rule yet when npcs like tataru taru play under random they seem to always have that "one" op card in their deck 99% of the time if not 100%.
Its so BS that they get to rig it like that. Not even believing in the heart of the cards will save u if u get handed a bad hand lol.

Simple reason for that. NPC only got 6-7 cards in total. So "random" isn't very random for them.

I know Tataru's cards very well. I've even gotten to play with most of them thanks to the swap rule. But it doesn't help you when the rule is order or chaos and you're forced to play the Sabotender card and all the open numbers she controls on the table are 7+. And you know what cards are probably left in her hand, and she's going to flip that Sabotender right over after you play it.

I usually don't mind Random. It means that I don't have to think about what deck to use. But combined with Roulette against a strong NPC with a timer, it's frustrating.

Actually I'm surprised they never added this to the game. We can't trade cards with other people. The cards sell for crap MGP as it is. They should have made it where if we win we get to pick a single card from the ones we flipped over as well as if we flipped them all then we get all the cards. Was something that I was hoping to see when they first put the game out but instead they want to rely on their horrid RNG drop base system to force people into grinding more.

Exactly. They implemented everything else exactly as it was -except- for the part that matters. I wouldn't WANT to receive all the cards in one go because that would be way too easy and we would blow through it too quickly, but I posted in the Suggestion forum (although I'm not even sure if it will get seen) but asked for such a system. We should at LEAST get the opportunity in some kind of fashion to pick the card we want instead of mindlessly grinding for it.

    Keep random ingame.
Polish it up with giving NPCs much more (3 star) cards

Random rule has a place. In PvP with some good friends, throw in a roulette rule and you can have some great games. But in terms of NPC battles it is more annoying than anything.

I personally took my Odin card from Landanel (sp?) using my 2* capped deck which I consider to be the toughest challenge this game has offered so far. What they need to do is not make random so one-way. Random NPCs have such a small card variety that despite the rule, you already know what they're going to have. It's barely any different from NPCs without the rule. But we spend so long getting the easy cards first that we have a disproportionate amount of poor cards to our good ones making it unlikely that we'll even have one card above our cap.

I appreciate it when a game dares to frustrate its players because it invites memorable moments, but that's much better done with trail and error encounters. There's no waste of time more disheartening than one that you can't speed up through skill nor calculate the ending of. That's what separates this from a standard grind.

At the very least, it would be beneficial to a players motivation if they made one or more of these changes to the random rule:
-Double or triple each Random NPCs card pool
-Guarantee that are cards are on cap (so if you have a 2* cap you won't get any 1* etc)
or instead of that last one
-Abolish our rarity cap while the Random rule is in play (making it truly random and giving us a shot at occasionally having the better deck instead of only ever being weak or super-weak
