    Even if you PC can do fantastic graphics if it brings the gameplay down(as in FPS) then you shouldn't be using such high textures anyway. Gameplay over graphics.

    FPS will be high as long as you have a powerful PC, it doesn't matter so if you don't have one just lower graphic settings.

    Its not just about Hi texture pack only but even moving a character feels like moving an object, no movement animation like stopping~turning left or right, i'll have to repeat this till they notice & understand~ this is an immersion killer.
