Blacksmith actually makes decent money by making artisan off hands.. But that's beside the point, crafting 3star+ can't be a specialized effort and you need to do all of them. By the sounds of it, you don't really like crafting all that much and I don't think there's a reason for you to pursue it.

The irony is that the costs involved to get to 3-star on every craft exceed any profits you're likely to make from it. Prices are constantly being flattened by those who had the initial capital to hit 3-star early on and are now progressing through 4-star crafts.

Unless you had the early advantage (ie, being rich), getting a foothold in the market is an expensive and long-term investment. And yes, I'm a 3-star crafter myself working on 4-star for weaver currently.
