Sorry, I'm just still wrestling with the concept that suddenly all my gear has become worthless because they've released a new expansion. How does that work exactly? Does my level 130 gear suddenly become level 50 or do mystical monkeys make it unequippable?

With new quests and locations comes higher ilvl requirements. Oh, and just for the record the new level 51+ gear doesn't automatically become level 130 or higher. It'll follow a natural progression as with other gear, with newer high-end gear ultimately offered as rewards for the new high-end content.

Granted, I'm not as much of a fan of the 'gear treadmill', but the new skills and locations offered by the expansion are sure to keep me busy throughout, so I probably won't even be thinking about it as much. As cliché as it is, I'd take some of the advice in this thread. If you're burnt out playing the game, then simply stop playing the game.

Once a game stops being fun, it's time to take a step back and enjoy something else in life. It will still be here if you decide to return.

Lv 130 gear is still not ingame. Lv 50 gear will be still lv 50 gear with not changed item level.

If i do remember it right, Yoshida said that item level 130 don't will be obsolete before level 60.
