So many people that can't follow simple instructions. How is "shoot cannons at dragon" "heal" "use dk and not miss" that difficult? Getting sick of this fight, 6 1/2 hours of wipefest after wipefest because of those people. I even got to do the DK for the first time ever! Hit all 3 of them. Why do people miss at it? How is this hard? Someone let me know when people stop sucking so bad that it makes you want to throw your pc out the window, so I can finally finish this -.- I'm getting flashbacks of titan 2.0 of all the people who stood in AoEs, causing wipefests for weeks.

It may take a while for the unwashed masses to wrap their brains around it.

You have months, but you COULD try putting together a PF or FC group to go do it.

Basically if random results aren't acceptable to you, don't play with random people.

I'm not doubting you, I just did not see any difference (and certainly not anything like what's in those screenshots). It's probably some graphics-setting-dependent thing.

My settings are on the absolute lowest, so I doubt it. My computer can't handle good graphics.

And to be fair, your comparison screenshots are done in a darkened area. Generally speaking, there will be higher contrast in a brightened area >_>

Since it bothers you so much, I'll go take new ones.

Problem with that is, I've sat in a PF group for well over an hour and could only get 3 people, so that's a no go and the majority of FC's only have ~5 people on at a time, even the bigger ones :/ Even my own, which used to be a decent size, only ever gets 4-5 on at a time now.

The biggest problem with the fight is that SE decided to make the rest of XIV painfully easy, so then when these scrubs get to a fight like this, all they do is cause unneeded frustration for the people who actually know how to play/listen to instructions. Imo, if they had started off XIV with things like this and continued it through everything, instead of making it candyland easy, maybe we'd have competent people. Sure, that plan would have turned away a bunch of people, but then you'd know that the ones who stayed, could actually play it and have a MUCH higher chance at winning fights, rather than wiping for hours upon hours.

Don't get me wrong, I understand people are new and I'm fine with that, it's just the people who continuously fail at the same stuff over and over and over that annoy me. Even when you tell them what to do and they reply with "ok" or "got it" and then proceed to fail again.

No, it's not too hard at all. Dying isn't even much of a penalty. If anything, maybe it needed a "wipe us already" button as it's fairly long and will proceed on a timer regardless of how the mechanics are being performed.

As for my experience, I went in with my friend right after the patch went up, first party was learning and going relatively nicely but someone had to go so we didn't clear. Second party my friend started to explain what we had learned and got promptly shut down by a "we're 6/8 FC, don't sweat it we'll clear this easily we know how to do it", which obviously didn't happen until they started listening to our advice instead of winging it (shocking, I know). We then cleared easily and everyone was pretty happy and felt rewarded for their effort.

I guess my point is it would be nice if a large bulk of the NA/EU community would stop acting so immature and try to communicate instead of giving up and complain on the OF as soon as something doesn't consist in random button mashing.

This is the sole legitimate complaint I've heard about this fight so far and it's a real one. It can stay in a functionally unwinnable state for entirely too long. That being said a "wipe party" button on a duty finder fight might be... unfortunate. Still, there needs to be a way to reset the fight that doesn't involve waiting for this guy to stroll leisurely down the bridge.

I beat it in 3 tries. It's incredibly easy once you understand cannons and snares. Not sure how people could have trouble with it, especially for 4 hours.

Because you can not control what the other people do. DPS who are constantly dying, don't use cannons, hit the DK when they are not suppose to. Only takes a couple people to make it impossible to win.

Then don't play with randoms and go get some friends or FC mates, easy enough.
