This "ending" made me actually feel more emotion to characters that before I was just a bit meh in my opinion of them.
The sultana- I've never really felt much for her before; as a leader she basically relied on Raubahn as her right-hand man and therefore did not appear strong enough in her own right to be leading Ul'dah. But, when she was poisoned and the way the cutscene was handled.... well I actually felt sad for her and was like "noooooo!".
I am utterly disappointed in the other leaders for not standing with Raubahn and for the sake of diplomacy just leaving the party. Being allied to Ul'dah I've never particularly liked the other leaders; when they stood together at the end of 1.0 I had some respect for them. Now.... not so much. They should have helped. I know why they didn't.. but still
I am itching now to find out what happened to the Scions. I believe they all survived; I think Minfilia will "save" Thancred and Y'shtola with some power invested in her from Hydaelyn. Yda is just badass and so I think she and Papalymo will be able to overcome all odds and escape/beat ten tonnes of **** out of the guards. All of the Scions' sacrifice for ultimately making sure we survive was really touching. As for Thancred taking an arrow to the knee.... haha well played SE!
I am not convinced that Urianger is a traitor yet. It is his research that provided the means to create a weapon and prove that Ascians can be prevented from being immortal, plus his good friend Moenbryda died for the cause. But, was Moenbryda's death enough to turn him to a darker side? It would seem like such a waste if he did.
I cannot wait until Ilberd gets what he deserves... please let us help Raubahn kick his backside in the new expansion ! I want to wipe that smirk off his face... and maybe chop off one of his arms too. >.>
