for my 5 cents...
The Ending really sucks for me. It's enough having a 1st one in 1.0 (albeit cool cinematics), which I play thoroughly. Now, not only we get another bad ending, it also left me with feeling back where I started when I first starting 1.0, but not in a good way.
Seeing that ending makes me suddenly lose interest of doing anything else. Makes me really consider going back to Vana'diel instead.
Not even sure I'll be looking forward for Heavensward given these circumstances, especially when 2.55 became 2.0 major conclusion.
From Zero... to Hero, and from Hero... back to Zero.

Which quest shows Yugiri's face? Don't wanna watch all cutscenes after Steps of Faith atm

All I have to say is THANK YOU! The ending to this part of the story was wonderful! So exciting.I can't wait for Heavensward.
the only thing that i still dont understand is why Merlwyb and Kan-E-Senna , fleed away ...i was ....what???????? , next time some primal comes.... hope u dont ask for help ¬¬
hope limsa and grindania does something come 3.0 to help Raubahn and uldah...
the whole Eorzea "united" went to hell ....whats going to happen with Omega weapon ? ,plus now we are on our own , no longer form part of scions or crystal braves....
tataru side story rocked btw ,the carbuncle cutscene was funny ^^

Oh yeah, also, I think helping that scholar guy was the biggest waste of time and probably the worst part of the entire game's story. There was just literally no need to make us drag on doing that.
[SPOILER] Don't forget both Merlwyb and Kan-E-Senna knew about the Sultana's desire to set Ul'dah free from the monarchy, since a private meeting they had in a previous patch. It wouldn't make sense for two nation leaders, only accompanied by a bodyguard each one, to start a fight against the whole city's army + Crystal Bearer's army.
If they are to really help the Sultana to accomplish her last wish, it's better for them to return to their city and lend us their help in a future. As far as I know, only three people knew about the Sultana's intention, let's not get them all killed.
Also, as Merlwyb stated, every nation leader's priorities are: Their own nation > Allied nation > Ishgard and the rest. They won't get killed all by themselves by boldly joining a foreign war.
They have their own city states to consider. This was an internal Ul'dah affair - they are not privy to all the information you have from your point of view.
And we are still part of the scions - kinda get the feeling that will never really change. We are just operating the same way we did after the garlean attack on vesper bay. Urianger is also still there.

Urianger is also still there. The problem is that they promised Nanamo that they would help if something happened. Yet they abandoned both Raubahn and the Scions. I'm pretty sure that they knew that anything that the monetarists said about the people that have helped them countless times was a lie. They least they could have done was making a protest in the name of the Aliance.
As far as I'm concerned, Nanamo and Raubahn have always tried to go the extra mile when someone has needed Ul'dah's help, be it the refugees, the domans, or the defense of Ishgard. They had their hands tied and Ul'dah has their own problems too, but still they tried to help and support as much as they could. I can't say the same about Gridania and Limsa, usually.
Eorzea has lost a lot this day.
