meeting someone you didn't expect who urges you to hurry back, because "they're all waiting for you" when the person was supposedly "on patrol" (so how would they know about the meeting?) is the biggest cliche for a setup.

The guy was on patrol because of the feast, he knows you're the Warrior of Light and that the feast is pretty much in your honor, so sending you there isn't far-fetched. From your character's view, that guy didn't "know about the meeting", he just happened to see you standing there by chance while making his rounds of the area.

I kind of figured almost the whole main cast was going to die. Most likly to make room for new characters. But come on Y'shtola getting replaced with Yugiri no thanks.

Yeah no, i'd very much rather that none of the characters that we stuck with since the very beginning get killed off thank you VERY much.

Ahh what a wonderful ending - loved everything about it.

Would have enjoyed it more if bots didn't continuously try to add me and whisper me ALL THE WAY THROUGH CUT SCENES WHICH I DIDN'T WANT TO SKIP!

Damn I am amazed, while the start of 2.0 story was a bit weak for me, I started to like it with ifrit, but these last story just blows my mind, I loved it, every minute, everything felt "right" for me.

And when I read some people who don't seem to like this, I am really amazed. Like, did we watch the same CS? How couldn't you like this stuff?
My heart was so moved, so it is hard to believe people don't like this.

But everyone has their own taste...

Anyway I enjoyed it, and can't wait for more story!

I see a lot of negative reactions in this thread so thought I'd pop in and say while I'm completely shocked and sad by certain events, I think that was a very epic way to leave it till 3.0

The story in this patch was definitely epic - whether or not I like the direction of it, however, depends on whether or not some or all of those now thought perished will be saved. If everyone who "seems" to be dead is *actually* dead then I'm not happy with the story direction at all.

I felt cheated after it all. Like my favourite show kills off the main characters for ratings full on knowing that they are coming back so it feels cheap for ratings.

IMO Some of them need to die or it takes away from the story and that they sacrificed themselves so you could bring light unto a dark world! If they all walk away then its not worth as much.
