The reason I believed that the classes would get more quests, outside of the fact that they are the mechanic providing our levels, is because their stories never really ended. What happened to that lancer that was so full of himself as to call you the neophyte when he was the one lacking? How's the alchemist lalafell brother doing after having been possessed for so long (I never finished that questline). What about the feuding archers, sure they may have made amends but are they still working together? The Job quests, on the other hand, have definitive ends. You stopped the prior Dragoon before he could do real harm, you helped the Godsbow fight his personal demons and in turn find his song again, you saved the world from an elemental apocalypse. You know, ends. Where do you go from that? It's a very tricky thing to continue a story from an end, it could turn out great or more often than not it could be spectacularly bad.
Some of each of the Job/Class quests could go either way. Funny you mentioned DRG, though - of all the job quests, that one seemed the most open-ended to me. You may have stopped the rogue dragoon, but you didn't capture him, and it was not at all clear that he was killed. He may still be at large. (As for the full-of-himself lancer from the LNC quests, well, he did fall off a cliff and was presumed dead, but of course no body was found...)

Anyway, if we're getting a class quest every two levels, that's fine and dandy - but does make me fearful of how much grinding it will take for each level post-50 in order to ensure the quests are properly spaced apart. I'd much prefer we keep the every-five-levels pattern (and for level grinding to remain no longer than what it was), but make the quests longer and more involved to make up the difference. Perhaps have an initial quest at 50, as well.

It would be nice to see if he gets a role in MSQ. Otherwise, I doubt that's him. We do know there are alot of dragoons in Ishgard and he may already be tempered by Nidhogg. It'll be interesting to see how much the Drg job quest will tie into Heavensward, if at all

I hate these quests. They drive me completely nuts running back and fourth for hours on end. I'm one of those people who doesn't care about watching the main scenario cutscenes, so I esc through everything and do it as fast as possible.

All communication has been that there will be as much content in 3.0 as there was in 2.0. That would mean (hopefully) that 3.0 brings us 5 new Job abilities that we quest for and 3-4 new class abilities at least.

They keep mentioning that our rotations might change for dps, etc, so I'm assuming we are going to get a good chunk of abilities.
