I pay the same subs as everyone else, why should I miss out? I'm not asking or looking for a fight (I wasnt expecting to be censored because I dare mention my real life) I was just truely gutted

And you had the same chance to buy a plot of land as everyone else did. You couldn't do it at the time and ran out of available plots.

The "I pay my $15/mo so I should get everything" excuse is as old as the subscription model. And accusing people who DO own their own house of using rmt to do it is cheap and offensive. If you're trying to rally support for your cause here (and you should because it's a good one), you're doing it wrong.

I definitely agree. Oh and you forgot raising your chocobo companion's rank beyond 10. You can't do that without a house either.

I also point to Yoshi P explicitly stating that personal houses would be far more affordable than FC houses. Yeah.. nope.

Thread could have been so nice and supportive with a simple:

"I've saved up to buy my own house for a very long time, collected event furniture, and generally psyched to finally get my own house. Now that I finally have the money there are no plots left. Moar plots plox!"

But instead you imply, or outright accuse homeowners of rmt, botting, and imply that your situation 1 ups other people's myriad of situations. You did build a troll bridge. Enjoy the rest of the flame fest instead of a sympathetic, constructive thread about an issue most players would easily rally behind that might have had enough likes to make a difference.

I work 5 days a week 10hr days. I did not get to buy a house during the first release but did get a chance to buy a small FC house a few days later that I gave ownership to an alt. I raised the $$$ legit SBing to lvl my choco. By the time the 2nd housing release happened I had enough for a medium and thought great I got the same gardening plots as a large at a discount price.
So not everyone that works needs rmt or bots like OP seems to think.
That being said I see OP is on my server and I could easily help him in owning a small. Instead due to his tone I will sit back and take joy in his misfortune.

A few hours down the line I've looked back over my original post. Its very bitter, I shouldn't have put the bit about everybody doing rmt, its not what I meant - I meant everybody who did do it (makes sense to me) I was just gutted and didn't express myself well.

People can troll or flame, I don't really care.

I pay subs, content like this should be available to all, it just depends how long you take to save for it. I'm not asking for everything right now, just equal opportunity for the casual player.

I had previously suggested another model with a kind of mortgage system, where you could get a lot and small house, and when you've paid for that you can upgrade from there.

But you can only take 1mil with you, or scout and buy items that will hopefully give you back your hard earned money if you play the market boards. Not an optimal solution.
