I'd say Duuude is pretty much on point in his estimations. Stryder, Blu-Rays run $20-30 tops and figurines like the dragon in the CE are pretty expensive $40-$50 range (or more). I think SE already has an art book on their store (yes, they do, just checked) and it's $40 just for that.
So all in all it's actually a pretty nice deal.
So wait your fine with paying $40 for a blu ray that is essential free on youtube considering its all the patch trailers we all seen before?
Please explain to me which mmo's and specifically which expansions that were more than this at launch of their respective expansions. Not disbelieving you but just never seen it before myself and wanted to know who else was doing this to their customers.
If you think that statue is going to be close to being worth 40-50, you will be unpleasantly surprised.I'd say Duuude is pretty much on point in his estimations. The thing is a little larger than an Amiibo, wich runs at an MSRP of $13.
I wasn't sure what was on the blu-ray, so that's why I bumped it up to $40. Knock it down to 30 and the book up to 20 and you have the target.
The Art book on the store is way way more than this one will be. Speaking as a 2.0 CE owner and previously 1.0 CE holder the art book they included is nice but not as much per se as the one you buy out right for 40 dollars. It's alot smaller and only contains a small sample of the art we are seeing. I bought Wrath of the Litch king expansion for WOW when it first came out. The art book was not only a hard back like this one will be , it was also full size like a yearbook. As far as I know I paid 89.99 for the expansion then too. Art Book, Mousepad, Full Soundtrack CD, Behind Scenes DVD, Game Expansion, In game items. Very sturdy hard clam shell case to hold it all in. I was actually quite impressed with it. Never seen a expansion so nice in my life. But I have to admit I don't have a ton of experience buying CE expansions. Most of the time I just buy the base edition.I'd say Duuude is pretty much on point in his estimations. what i wanna know is why the digital version is same price when theres no physical items to produce/ship/tax. digital should be cheaper by common sense by at least $5
are you sure you know the price tags for SE figurines ? ($30-40 for "mini" figurines. Some sell for way more than $100, and aren't that much larger than the dragon)
production/shipping/taxes (well, there are taxes on digital products too so...) aren't what make the price of a video game.
The only one that springs to mind is Warlords of Draenor (WoW) that was $50 or 60 (can't remember exactly which). But no, game expansions have been $40 since time immemorial.
That itself is probably a good reason for them to have increased in price actually. Since $40 today is not the same as $40 when the pattern was started back 15 years ago. Adjusted for inflation, $40 from 2000 would be about $55 now. And yet expansions still cost $40.
