Why no official dares answering us?

EDIT2: (03-17-2015 19:05 GMT) Thank you everyone for your enlightening answers, I think I understand better SE's community management policy now.

    Hi,

I have been reading these forums for a few months now (mostly the DPS sub forum) and it I'm still puzzled by how players keep asking for stuff, giving their impression on game aspects, without any reaction at all, from any Square Enix official. Not even a forum administrator or a moderator.

Is the way this game is developped really this one sided?

Take online games made by other companies and you'll see they actually often give players feedback in regards with their requests. This is not a pure console game that you release once and for all.
I don't know, take League of Legends for instance, every patch they deliver has a patch note always explaining why they made this or that change (balances) and often refers to the community of players.

Square Enix has a much heavier, brighter past than companies like Riot Games. But does it mean it should not adapt to what a MMO actually is? It's a game that consistently changes. Not only does it imply to add new content so that people stick to it, but you also need to listen to your players.
Ask all the people who ever played a Final Fantasy if they like what you did with the summoner job (invoker in some other FF games) for instance. Now maybe you prefer not to ask this because it would not be possible to satisfy all players' needs. but really in many other cultures, people like it when you ask them what they think.

And guys, don't start posting "noone forces you to play this game, you're free to play another game". I'm posting this because I expected very much from FF14, got my hopes up with "A Realm Reborn" as many other FF fans did, but I really feel fustrated by the game as it is.

    EDIT: corrected several typos

Devs aren't going to fight with a bunch of people on the net, and any official post has to be approved and analysed.

There's an entire tracker on this site that showcases any developer/representative post.
    http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/s...rchid=30911615
The latest entries are mostly about the issues regarding the store and the expansion but you can sift through the history.

If you expect SE to address every single issue raised by players (if not every single post) you're just delusional.

They have also actually addressed player concerns directly several times already. That's why I hate these kinds of topics, because they always pretend that SE never responds to players.

So what you say is: "we don't represent the community" to Square Enix.

I don't know which one was first:
    1-Square Enix ignoring forums
2-People thinking Square Enix ignores forums

My opinion is that players can make Square Enix change its relation with players if we make this a place for expressing opinions, even redundant ones.
People are already trying to do it, please don't discredit them for doing so.

Then Square Enix also need to care more about its players, because for now we are only wallets. This is may be a valid approach but it only works so long...

This link is not working for me.

Please check league of legends forums before making such statements. Square Enix can hire 10 guys to read all forums and make reports to "devs" on what seems like hot topics in the FF14 community and try to investigate into it.

I really don't see where this is coming from. They have explained the reasoning behind pretty much every nerf or buff in content/jobs unless it was obvious why they were changed.

Community said Blackmage flare spam was too strong - Nerf
Community said Dragoon was too weak - Buff
Community said Ninja was too strong - Nerf
Community said Monk was too weak for how hard it was - Buff
Community said Warrior was too weak compared to Paladin - Buff
Community said Coil was too hard - Invented Echo and various nerfs
Community said MGP were too hard to get - Buff in MGP rate

If the only reason you are posting this is because Summoner isn't designed the way you like it then shut up. I don't like it either, but even if they wanted it changed it would take a lot more work than balancing a few numbers.

The Forum Administrators answer the questions they have answers to. It is as simple as that. They aren't in charge of game design.

What exactly do you think the FFXIV community reps do?

What they don't do is respond to every single issue raised by players, especially when they have been addressed before, like your Summoner issue that seems to have motivated this particular thread.

And there's a developer tracker button at the top right.

Community representatives only forward some official messages to forums but we have no feedback on some recurring issue.
I don't post about the way summoner is designed but it's been months that SMN topics are being created and commented and there never was any reaction from SE to this. Not any form of communication since relaunch. Why do they keep ignoring players?

Many other gameplay change was proposed or discussed but we never get feedback...

Odd, but all you need to do is click on "Dev Tracker" at the top, just below the search bar. I've highlighted it in this screenshot.

If you want only English dev posts, all you need to do is click on "Forum Top" and click on "Dev Tracker" next to the English Fourms specifically. Again, I've highlighted this for your convenience.

Lastly, there's a way to see the dev tracker simultaneously while on the fourm top page.
Select this icon, indicated in this screenshot,

It will expand and give you a side bar filled with the latest dev posts from the tracker,

As you can see, they've been rather responsive when applicable!
I hope this has been helpful to you.

Reporting for what? lol. Because he said "shut up"? wow man, thats not even an insult. Thin skin?

So wait, you are only posting this because Summoner isn't designed the way you like?
Because if not, then he didn't tell you to shut up. He said if, so the "shut up" does not apply unless the if-statement is true. Is it true?
