Yes, it is. The GM replied to me, that as of now, it is not a violation of the ToS, so I can trade wins for gil, but he said, that it is not in the spirit of the game and it may change in the future. So, for now, I go for the gil. If people use alt-chars, friends or pay someone doesn't make a difference imo. Even though this is a game, this is the way the world works. With you talking about being antisocial or non ethical you won't succeed anywhere. And talking about ethic: ethic just focuses on moral, which checks if one or another action is considered "good" by a specific standard. My moral does not have to be the same as yours. So, who are you to judge me?

Seriously though, you aren't. Get over yourself and stop being so petty. Selling wins is as acceptable as selling carries right now. It's not against the ToS, so it's not reportable, and it's not disallowed. And yes, that means people can do it. Stop forcing everyone to play the way you do and get over yourself.

And yes, the tourny has serious issues and really needs to be fixed. SE has acknowledged this and will look into it for future tournies. This one, however, will continue by the rules as they were written at the start of the tourny. Canceling it would only be unfair to those who have participated already, regardless of how you feel about their participation.

No, they will change some things with Patch 2.55, but no infos yet.

The MOST unfair thing about this system is the rare card rewards being awarded to only MAYBE 3 players on the entire server every few weeks. I understand that they are supposed to be rare, but this is pushing it a bit too far, because the more players on your server, the less likely chance that the people who really want those cards have of getting them. That chance which is now none to none. All other Dissidia cards except for those tournament only ones, are entirely obtainable and I've seen many people with them. These ones, it's like they may as well not even exist. It's a huge imbalance and I don't like it ]:
Maybe just change the top 3 prizes to tonnes of GP, while the top 20 can randomly get the cards. That would be a little more fair. :3
Other than that, I really love Triple Triad and I enjoy it greatly!

Is SE really going to host another tournament using the existing rules prior to making adjustments? Considering how poorly the first tournament was received I can't imagine why they would want to repeat the same mistakes.

They will do it.
The "fix" will occur in the next patch which will be after the next tournament is played.
So the Cecil card goes to another cheat.

And the best part is that it's the Random rule! So legitimate players are even more screwed at the idea of getting a good score, while the people using the "exploits" are in an even more primed place to win yet again.
