Which if you've bothered to read ANY of my posts (which you really haven't) you would know that I'm all for different items or markings. Not the legacy tattoo. Something different if they want. >.> Seriously, it baffles me how people think I'm entitled when I'm arguing that I can understand why people want things to mark events.

Paved the road, eh? Then the people who bought and supported OTHER SE games and FFXI need something special too with that mentality. Cause guess what? No amount of subscriptions from old Final Fantasy XIV (and when it was free) could afford to rehaul this game from the ground up. The company survived off of XI and its other games. It was overhauled from the profit of THOSE games. So regardless if people wanted it or not, your subscriptions did not entirely foot the bill for the rehaul. Other SE games did.

Get off the highhorse. While something to commend for their loyalty to a crap game, Legacy players (which I was, btw before I went back to playing XI, fyi) shouldn't get a red carpet whenever they walk by a lowly 2.0 player. Who...might I add, pays more of the monthly cost that keeps this game going.

People want to honor the legacy tattoo here. But they don't exclusively own the rights to such things in the future. Step off yourselves and remember that you're players who played a dying game and unlike some people (like the peeps who played Everquest, Wildstar, Star Wars Old Republic) your game got a rehaul, a second chance, and is flourishing. You're not special for supporting it. You're just lucky the company had the means and the funds from its other projects to do so.
