JP aesthetics, sadly, tend toward "dainty" men. And women, but men too. Personally, I wish the female hyur were less dainty. I kinda want to stop being a catgirl and go midlander hyur instead, but I can't stand some of the female midlander hyur animations.

...you do know the bit about her daughter was a direct comment on your "I liked Batman more than Barbie" statement, right? And it was only a few sentences regarding that, too. If you look at it the other way, we could care less about what you liked to play with as a kid. It's not relevant at all to the topic. Right?
(Yes, your comment was related enough to the topic to be considered relevant, but so was hers. Just because a boy prefers Batman to Barbie doesn't mean it's because "its' for boys", since clearly some girls prefer Batman to Barbie. And some boys prefer toys that are either gender-neutral or more commonly catered to girls, like play kitchens and stuff.)

I understand what you was saying, with it being allowed to be put on by tanks, but i was kinda pointing out that none of the proper tank gear is like that, in fact most of it is "Manly" heavy plate styled Armour. In fact all of the tanking gear is very bulky and Armoured in looks.

Lol, I consider myself a survivor of the great Darklight Trash Can debacle, not to mention the perfectly hideous Noct armor. I agree that the tanky armor is bulky and manly - which is,to be perfectly honest, a problem for me. I dont see why it's impossible to have more feminized versions of the tank gear for female characters, not allof the sets, but some of them at least. Someone will no doubt point out that real armor doesn't look feminine, but the easy and obvious counter to that point is that this is not reality, it's Final Fantasy.

Though regarding Noct armor: I'm actually a fan of it, particularly because it's got a versatile helmet deal. The Mistbeard Mask was actually supposed to be the helm for it (going by the art book) so I imagine the whole thing was a tribute to the notorious pirate, making it an Eorzean lore piece. On the flip side, however, the Warrior AF helm looks GREAT with it (see it glamoured on 'em all the time). I'm still pulling for a pot of Jet Black ink from a retainer so I can glamour the set with the WAR i90 helm (the Soot Black doesn't quite work).

That's a tangent, anyway, but it does prove a point relevant to this thread: You can play pretty-princess-dress-up even with the most hulking beefyman armor in the game.

Lol, I always used to make that comparison, I stuck to the Hoplite top to escape the fate worse than Coke Zero. As for pretty princess dress up, Kos looks fantastic in her wedding gown, and steel bikini is a crowd favorite also. I have to admin though, I have frequently compared the constant glamouring of ourgear and redressing of our Characters with collecting virtual dolls.
