My sig is as old as this character is and I've had sigs turned off for at least a year now. I don't even remember what it says now! I used to try to talk to people, and I do at least say hi to folks when I queue in, but I've become cynical and worn down by the general level of stupidity in chat that I rarely look at it anymore.

General commendations stuff, ending with "All of this being equal, commendations go out to those who at least say hi. Silence is not golden."

Don't let them wear you down maaan, I'll take a chatty run where we stop to smell the roses over yet another go-go-go faster faster don't stop speed run any time.
