Rofl. Top thread right now. Can we have achievements for completing achievements? Can we have a grind about grinding?

Your Honor, I rest my case.

I'm most definitely not, but you keep bringing up things that have nothing to do with what people are complaining about or this game at all to make absurd comparisons and draw some kind of point. What I said could not have been clearer, so I'm not gonna waste any more time with you since you are pretending not to understand to keep trolling.

I agree 100%. SE has been going overboard on insane grinds lately, and this is coming from someone that has played MMOs since Everquest and RPGs in general since the 90s. Rare drops is okay and expected, as well as things that take time. But there are so many aspects to this game that we would like to progress and enjoy before the next patch comes out, but we're not really putting a dent on any progress due to the broke RNG and insane grinds. Hard and rare is good. Insane is not. It makes the game boring. Games are suppose to be fun. Sure, there are other MMOs with grinds just as bad, BUT those MMOs don't release content as frequently as SE does. The problem here is SE does not scale the grinds and RNG to match the frequency at which they release new content. This basically makes it impossible to get all the aspects of the game you enjoy caught up. You would only be able to focus on 1 or 2 aspects of the game.

Triple Triad isn't grinding. The game requires thought. It is also the type of game like poker that requires you to apply skill everytime you play no matter how good you get. Have you ever heard of anyone call poker or a game like PacMan grinding? Game play that requires no skill or thought on the part of the player is grinding. It's not repetition that is the problem. The problem is repeating content that requires no real decisions from the player.

Fishing is grinding. Press button 1. Press button 2. Press button 1. Press button 2. Press button 1. Press button 2... Assuming proper gear, nothing I can do as a player will increase or decrease the chance of catching a fish. Low level dungeons fall are the same for progressed players. They disable abilities and require players to go BACKWARDS in skill level.

I've beaten the ultros fight too many times that I can even count and I still haven't got the Terra Branford card. The droprates on these are incredibly low. I can understand that SE doesn't want people to rush over content in a few days but come the f. on. Seriously, these cards shouldn't be this hard to obtain. No one wants to do these this many times just for nothing.

I've been saying this exact thing for ages. Sadly, ARR's grinds tend to be just grindy and not particularly engaging. I think the masses stick around for the story updates and to see what comes next more than to play in Wanderer's Palace for the 200th time.

Triple Triad only requires thought against other players. It requires 0 thought against NPCs once you have a good deck and know exactly where to put said card in response to their card placement. Literally you play a card the moment your turn starts with no pause to think since the results play out the same. It only requires thought when you're still getting use to an NPC and how they play, or something like Chaos or Random. The Indolent Imperial and King Elmer III are good grind examples. You literally do the exact same thing every game. There's only a set number of different possible card placements the NPC uses. Once you have your method for each there's no thought.

Grind is so bad for your mental health that many ppl actualy need to seek proffesional help to get them out of carrot on the stick loop.

That's the entire point. One guy likes card farming, one guy thinks it's boring and therefore a 'grind' that needs to go. This entire debate isn't in facts it's in opinions on what is fun. No one is ever right. It's all repetitive actions and processes. If you enjoy it, then it's fun content. If you don't it's a terrible grind that needs to go. You guys are fighting over what's fun or not. Nobody wins that.

You don't get to say X repetitive activity is awesome and not a grind, but Y repetitive process is a grind. It's ALL grinds. You just pick the ones you don't like and give them a negative tittle while other people flip the script. You guys are fighting over what's fun and that varies. I'm just trying to get people to take their blinders off and see every repeated action for what it is, a delay tactic used by every game developer ti buy time for new content. You won't like all of it, but it's not all for you. It's for everyone and their myriad tastes.

Play the content you like. Ignore the content you dont. SE will get the message in their data. Don't try to tell other people what's fun for them. The game is bigger than just your likes.
