This.
2.5 million gil for a material used in 2-star crafting is NOT OK. NOT OK AT ALL.

This. Rather than jumping to the conclusion that stupid people have crashed the market consider that the drop in price might be related to:
a. An increase in people able to sell the product (more people doing Ixali quests, now that those quests have something good to offer)
b. A decrease in the demand for the product (due to more and more players already having purchased or crafted the items for which Sealant is needed)
This is just the natural flow of supply and demand, not the work of "those dirty undercutters".
There is no "true" price for ANYTHING. EVER. Just supply and demand. More supply than demand, price goes down. More demand than supply, price goes up.
Even players who smugly crow about their market manipulation are no more than a drop in the pond. Even their most ruthless tactics are soon smoothed over, and it's back to business as usual.

Thanks for the tip about not.. giving... tips?
Here is a simple fact: Assuming a stable or growing player population base, the ability to produce any item will only become increasingly more common and therefore the supply of the item will increase leading to drop in relative value (price) of the item. And even if the price seemed to have held steady the fact that more gil enters the market all the and is cannot be consumed faster than than they are introduced, 1 mil gil today is worth a lot less than 1 mil gil 6 months ago. And all this is a good thing because it lets the game become more accessible to a larger portion of the player base.

What I don't get is why people would sell expencive crafted items for a value less than the mats would cost them. Unless they were given the mats for free or managed to obtain them all by themself... Sometimes I think people forget the item's actual worth in the game of undercutting. It becomes so important to be on top of that list that they actually end up losing money. It's like those people who sell potions, fish etc. for less than an NPC vendor would give for it. Sometimes when I'm bored I browse those categories, buy all the potions and stuff that sell to NPC for, 8 or 16 gil, and go for 3 gil or less on the market. Earned me a cute little profit, it did.![]()
Fancy that. Another undercut QQ thread. Compete or step aside in your markets. Your products are the same. There is no difference to the consumer between your HQ fish and my HQ fish, so they buy cheap. If I value my time fishing low enough I'm happy to sell emperor fish for 500g each, and you think that's stupid, then go find another fish or wait til I get bored fishing.
System is working as intended.
Every now and again I find a market not being tapped. I use it don't tell anyone but others always do.
Wow... thanks for not only ruining your profits on aether, but mine on Primal. Post some more stuff please! (sarcasm)
