Ya I think they should make Lightning card available after the tournament and sell it for 1 million mgp like the Cloud card so we don't miss out on this because of the cheaters.

and I completely agree with you. But people will abuse the system to get unique cards.

Unique cards and 140,000 MGP toward Fenrir mount. And as long as the card is still sellable to the NPC for more MGP then you'll probably see the same people on the top over and over.

Some guy in Cactuar is actually making some gil with this tactic.
I tried tournament myself but I'm completely mind broken from hours of King Elmer play.

wondering how long til we get n official response from a GM on this subject they should take immediate actions n cancel the current tournament n rewards til they put a fix in place espiecally if people are paying 400k per win at 15 wins = 6m they have wasted for nothin LOL thats not including the fact they could be paying more

will be fairer to every1 playing the game properly and will be a smack in the face for those cheaters looking for a quick n easy way to get on top

Things that won't happen: the current tournament being canceled.

This that might happen: changes made to the next tournament.

Things that should happen and still could, but almost certainly won't: the Lightning card being given to everyone who participates in the tournament.

Also, there are three more cards that are not currently in game. I'm betting that they are intended as future tournament rewards, so limiting the Lightning card to the top three win-buyers is even worse.

A japanese CM said that the system will be reworked next week (or asap) with all the players feedback. No news about a possible cancel.

Its even easier than you think.

I pay for two accounts to dual-box. I have several Gold Saucer qualifying characters. I can do this all day long without paying a single gil.

System is so whack.

They're not going to cancel the tourney, nor should they IMO.

PPL are always going to game the system and I don't fault those who find the best way to do it. It's up to SE to prevent that.

Why shouldn't they? None of the people that qualify for prizes played the game legitimately so their scores should not be considered legitimate. People that spent gil trying to buy wins deserve to lose it to be honest. They should either cancel the tournament or just award everyone the prize regardless of placing.
