It is only 12 or so hours into a 14 day event and we are already what is likely to be close to a tenth of the way or more complete on most servers.
Actually; the help text after you begin the repeatable says that it encourages you to team up with other players.1) the quest should be level 40 if it's a) going to rely on decipher, and b) just going to spawn level 38 mobs. Nowhere NOWHERE does it say that you have to team up with a higher level character, and having level 38 mobs spawn on a low level character who can't even decipher the map is just cruel and silly.
Okay, but "encourage" you to enjoy a social event with your friends does NOT equal "you must". Also, "encourage you to team up with other players" doesn't mean "encourage you to team up with high level players". It should be explicitly clear.
Why should it be any clearer than it already is? A lot of the player base already have at least 1 lvl 40 job. It's not mandatory for them to team up with other players unless they want to help them.
Does this strike anyone else as a dirtbag move? I mean is this really the direction we are going with the mogstation?
Pre-Mogstation: let everyone buy past rewards from vendors
Post-Mogstation: charge real money for stuff we used to put in-game
This just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It will only go downhill from here.
People have said this time and time again but nothing will change within the community overall. People are just gonna continue to play and those that buy stuff, will and those who don't, won't.Does this strike anyone else as a dirtbag move? It's a dirtbag move but it's one everyone has come to expect since Halloween is when they started to officially do this.
Where's the NPC with the housing items? I must be blind because I seriously can't find it.
edit: nvm found it...300 people were piled on top of it.

Err, direction? This is what the Mogstation was designed to do. This event is hardly the first time it's happened. Every seasonal event since the one-year anniversary has been this way. The only items you could buy from vendors were items released before the launch of ARR, with very few exceptions (I think the swimwear was post-2.0 but buyable one year later right before the Mogstation was fully set up).
It's been like this since Halloween 2014, with Christmas, New Years, and Valentine's Day also working this way. Ever since the Mogstation opened, SE has put minimal effort into the rewards for the seasonal events. Usually it's one new item that looks cool and a couple housing items. Valentine's Day had no interesting wearable items at all this year, just an okay-looking outdoor housing item.
Having the main rewards for seasonal events be a couple housing items is cruel and terrible. Housing is strictly limited to a handful of people with newer players being literally unable to ever own a house (unless SE adds more wards, and they're on the very second the new wards are added since all the smalls will be bought out in seconds). On top of that, the housing rewards are almost always outdoors items. The limit on outdoors items is extremely small, and most people with houses have already reached it. So, even the people who are lucky enough to have a house can't really show off the new items.
I'm not really that disappointed though as I don't really care about seasonal events in the first place. I just don't see the point in continuing to pretend to hold them when there will never be worthwhile rewards again and the old ones are no longer ever going to be available in game again.

Yeah it took me a while to find it too. For anyone still having trouble locating it, it's literally right beside the repeatable quest npc. Capitalistic Chambermaid.
