    Little Ladies Day Event

The spring event, Little Ladies day has started. So far it seems to involve going out and opening maps to bring back pieces of dolls. The event is server based in that the appearance of the recreated doll will be based on how many doll pieces the players on each server bring back. it will be interesting to compare screenshot of the dolls as they grow on each server.

    Some things I have noted;
    • There is a repeatable quest that is not limited to one per day. Have yet to see if there is a daily limit to how many repeatable quests you can do. You can also buy more maps for 200gil each.

    • You start with one map given to you. The reward for turning in the item from that map is another map, so it links to the next repeatable. If you fail or accidentally throw away or lose your map, that is what the purchasable map is for.

    • The maps work like normal maps (counts to challenge log entry too). Open then kill either a few waves of mobs or a single tough mob. The level of the monsters is from 36-40. The maps don't give Nexus or Zeta light.

    • Each map give one doll piece and 300gil as a reward

    • WARNING: Please note that doll pieces are UNIQUE. If you go out and open two maps without returning to town first, you won't be able to obtain the second doll piece and thus waste the map.

    • Each repeatable quest will also give you a "Nanapasi's Happy Smile Super Wish Bag." which can be turned in for the two housing items, the Umbrella and mat costing 2 and the cherry tree costing 6

    • The bags can also be opened instead of being turned in for items. So far they seem to hold Allagan currency and Clear Demimateria (i.e. you open them tog et item to NPC for gil)

    • The Peach Blossom Choker is a quest reward. Once the stage is full with all 10 dolls, it will be available.

    • Last year's rewards (minion) and previous year's rewards (blossom earring) cannot be bought with gil, but must be purchase on the Mog Station if you missed them

    • There are two stages in Uldah, a big red one that you just run through and a smaller pink one near the Adv guild. The red one is for the 'lifesize figurines' . You can stand on the pink one and use it to take screenshots. NPC next to it talks about user courtesy and taking turns.

Here is the Completed Doll Stand

And the dialogue given by the NPC beside the stage about each of the 3 rows and the two dolls on top
The first row displays life-size recreations of the three legendary Sultansworn known collectively as the first paladins. Of particular interest are the blades that they brandish. Three blades forged from the same steel, one each bestowed to the three great warriors who would attend the Royal House by the hand of Sasagan Ul Sisigan, first of his name and founder of our nation. Curtana, Joyeuse, Durandal... Eras have passed, monarchs have risen and fallen, but the legends of these blades─and the men who did wield them─live on to this very day.

On the second row of the stage stands life-size figurines of two archers─referenced in Thorne Dynasty records as the Twin Bows. It is said that they served as bodyguards for Princess Edvya on the strict orders of her father, the sultan. It is perhaps worth noting that despite their moniker, the two are of different races entirely. One is Hyuran, a midlander, not unlike the Royal House of Thorne which he did serve. The other is of Miqo'te blood, a Seeker of the Sun. The histories tell of how─after years of bitter struggle─the Thorne Dynasty at last succeeded in reaching across the desert and establishing trade with the U tribe, a fact which the existence of these dolls would seem to corroborate.

The third row is adorned with the figures of an alchemist, a goldsmith, and a weaver─together known as the Three Creators. It is widely believed that these three women─alchemist, goldsmith, and weaver─do not represent actual historical personages, but are rather quasi-deities said to watch over our nation and see it to greater heights of inspiration and prosperity. Observing these dolls, it is evident that ladies' fashion was at the center of attention and demand since days long past. Most likely, the respect and reverence shown for the skilled artisans who created such objects of beauty resulted in the birth of these three symbolic figures.

Quite the handsome lad, isn't he? This doll is a recreation of none other than the commoner youth who would eventually become husband to Princess Edvya. As the legend goes, the fated lovers met during Princess Edvya's short foray outside the palace walls. So smitten was the boy with the princess's beauty that he vowed that he would one day become a knight and rise above his station, that they might one day be wed. True to his word, after enduring years of grueling training, the once-scrawny lad grew into a brave and strong knight. So moved was the princess by the boy's pure heart and determination, that she pleaded with her father to consent to their marriage. Having learned years ago that his daughter was not to be denied, he did so with a smile. The tale sounds as if it were dreamed up by some mawkish minstrel, does it not? And yet it is cited in several documents as historical fact. Little did the lovers know, however, that the glorious reign of the Thorne Dynasty was soon to come to an end...

As you have doubtless already surmised, the lovely lady seated atop the stage is none other than Princess Edvya herself. It is of some historical note that these exquisite figurines were not commissioned by the royal house itself. Rather, they are the work of common town artisans, who created them out of their newfound respect for Princess Edvya and Sultan Baldric in the wake of the events of the legend. It began with one doll, then two, with their numbers growing year by year as the sultan and his daughter grew to be even more beloved by the commonfolk, whom they walked amongst willingly. Happy years those were, but they would be short-lived. The second Ul Dynasty would soon rise, and the Thorne traditions would be abandoned, giving way to the small and dainty dolls so familiar to Eorzeans today.

At a guess, when the dolls start to show up on the pavilion, more quests from the starting quest guy might appear to fill out the storyline for this event. Or perhaps once you reach a certain level of turn ins, more quests will unlock themselves. The necklace will most likely be a reward from the last quest in the chain.

Also the bags can be opened for items, So farm, just stuff you can NPC for gil. If anyone gets something more worthwhile please post it ^_^

Yeah, not a very nice thing to do for an event that's supposed to be enjoyed by lvl 15's.

Mobs seem to range between 36 and 40.

They're probably meant to team-up with higher-level players to get it done, the way they had to last year for Hatching-Tide.

On Cerberus the first doll has spawned on the red stage.
"A doll of such size and painstaking craftsmanship that it could be easily mistaken for a living being stands atop the pedestal." is the message when you click on it.

The Well Schooled Scholar next to the stage will now give some info about the first row of dolls.
