Bring back carbuncle

Oh, no even better, make carby into swarm pets. Initial cast summons emerald, burn one aetherflow to add topaz, 2nd for Ruby, 3rd for diamond or other color... And assuming they add another level it could end in a super attack with a classic FF cutscenes that just pauses the battle to watch 10 minutes of summoning animation awesome sauce!!!!

i think this was said by 2.3 that come the expantion (or just after) summoners would gain the ability to choose what pet they would summon.

They should just add an Onion Knight/Freelancer Job which works off the Classes, making Arcanist (and the rest of the Classes) actually viable, thus giving people the option to use Carbuncle instead of Egis.

Smn itself needs to be shot down to be more Summoner-esk by making the pets wreck stuff like a drg or a blm. While the smn him/herself stands around pushing pet buttons cackling like a maniac.

Ppl hated the size of the Egis with they were released, they were expecting something like FF10



The reasoning Yoshi-P gave is that a bigass monster would be a pain in closed environments like dungeons. Imagine if you are taking something 2/3 the size of the Ifrit you fight against in Toto-Rak or Dzemael? lolz

I'd be happy if they made a Carbuncle minion instead.

The good thing about the Golden Saucer is its fanservice prizes that will be easy to add. Many of the items available like npc clothes, nails, etc were all popular fan requests.

Personally I have given up. I just rerolled and stop my Job quests just short of getting Garuda-Egi. Occasionally I get "questioned" as to where is Garuda-Egi ... I have yet to formulate a good comeback.

Getting SE to change anything is like trying to get blood from stone. I have decided to just accept my fate. Sho ga nai.

People I group with? Well, guess you got to suck it up with my pet having -10 potency and no Enkindle - the worse Lv50 ability IMHO; long CD = very niche use.
