Maintenance

Previous posts on this topic yielded a number of (usually unsympathetic and/or unhelpful) responses saying that you shouldn't complain about the maintenance schedule because:

- You should be grateful that we even get to have maintenance!
- Complaining means that you don't want or deserve any new content or bug fixes, ever!
- I have the same problem but do you see me complaining about it? No!
- The same issue happens in every other MMO!
- It's much worse in WoW!
- They schedule it for "off peak" time!
- The schedule is great for people other than you!
- Changing the schedule could inconvenience the majority of players in the game!
- It's a great schedule for Europe!
- It also inconveniences people on GMT who play in the morning!
- It's the schedule that works best for Square Enix!
- It's a small percentage of the total number of hours in a month!
- It's your fault for not checking the maintenance schedule before you subscribed to the game!
- It's your fault because you can't play during other hours in the day instead!
- It's impossible/impractical for Square Enix to do anything at all about it, ever!
- You should just quit the game and/or play/do something else!
- It's just a game - your real life is more important!



But you're exactly right: rotating the maintenance times would spread the inconvenience more fairly across multiple time zones, rather than hitting the same people repeatedly.
