It's just...a game. I've gotta say, I wish people in real life were even a quarter as motivated about changing the issues in society and the world as we are here in Eorzea. So your issue with the game, is the supposed implied subliminal political maneuvering to support "finning" due to there being no other shark meat recipes... nothing to say about the game having murder, suggested rape, smoking, alcohol, supremacism, religious intolerance, genocide, or any of the other aspects of this FANTASY world that could or could not be considered delicate real world issues?


Get over yourself, it is a made up world, with it's own history and lore. Slacktivism at it's finest, if this is really a sensitive issue to you personally, maybe you should maybe, oh i dunno, register with an anti-finning organization, donate some time and/or money to support their efforts, instead of tinfoiling here on the forums.

Seriously though it's game, treat it as such. Stop trying to dig so deep into every little thing; I swear more and more people on the internet now seek out and try their hardest to find something to be offended by. If you feel that deeply insulted by this then don't support SE anymore by cancelling your subscription. And yes, that IS the best way to protest this as your subscription which will cut into their revenue will speak even louder than some misguided post on a video game's forum.
