This person is complaining about the RNG nature of Triple Triad. Not technically the grindfest because they want all the cards immediately, which this thread is about. They don't want to play the same NPC thousands of times. Nyaruko, just stop. Your witchhunts and your inability to comprehend the actual meaning of threads is not even troll worthy.
Yes, they are simply angry cause they cant rush the game and go to the internet to complain about how patch is small
They cannot enjoy, they are sad people![]()
These sort of complaints come with every patch.
Honestly. It's an MMO. Every aspect is made to make you spend extensive time on it. You shouldn't be surprised that something is taking long...especially when it hasn't even been here for a full day yet.
Triple triad is just a side game, something to do casually, if hardcore grinding mgp takes months to get stuff, then how do they expect people to be casually playing it? Its ok for the relic to take months since its a major story/main content. But for side content just to keep you busy or for a bit of fun to takes months really does take the biscuit.
Shouldn't have to come on everyday and play 4-5 hours of Triad to get a little bit closer. Besides problem with triad is the RNG is terrible. And its far to easy to abuse and farm.
I played Elmer for almost 8 hours straight and didn't get a single card from him. Playing against NPCs with the Random rule is unfair, since they don't have to worry about getting weaker cards since they apparently never started with a starter deck, they went straight to the top.
Either all NPCs have super good decks, or they have about equal to your own with 2 or 3 great cards, I haven't seen much of a steady progression to gradually getting better yet though. Even the so called easy NPCs have 1 or 2 good cards with 3 or 4 star ratings.
This was my only gripe with the system, every npc seems to have the best cards and only the best in their decks, even with random they only seem to have 7-8 cards total.I played Elmer for almost 8 hours straight and didn't get a single card from him. It's suppose to be casual and fun. I spent almost all day, over 14 hours straight playing King Elmer for the Bahamut card and didn't get it once. I played hundreds of games against him. The drop rate is worse than atma. Not every little thing in the game should be a grindfest, like if it's suppose to be a casual fun thing. Nothing fun about spending an entire day grinding the same NPC for a card. That's not fun. At that rate you would have to play Triple Triad all day every day ignoring other aspects of the game for months.I played Elmer for almost 8 hours straight and didn't get a single card from him. It did bother me initially that most opponents have really nice cards compared to what we start with, but you don't win those nice cards from them. In FFVIII, part of the joy of beating a tough opponent was to snatch those cards from him and turn the tables. In XIV, no matter how many times I flip that 7-7 wall through clever tactics, I'm not allowed to win it from my opponent. And every game, he just keeps slapping it on the table for his first move.
RNG is fine, but it felt like too much rng at the very beginning. Not including the practice game at the start, I think I won almost ten games against an npc before I got another card drop. That doesn't scream "friendly for everyone" to me.
Most opponents do have good cards yes. But Triple Triad is all about "USE YOUR BRAIN", COUNT NUMBERS, again USE YOUR BRAIN to COUNT THE NUMBERS, and finally, SE will screw you over with randomize element or something to that extent. But overall, it is about strategy, knowing how to play, use the rules, A LOT of luck, and lastly, A LOT MORE lucks to get the random number to give you the cards. Overall it's fantastic update. I can see why this does not bode well with AMERIKA!!!!!!!!! I WANT WANT ME WANT NOW NOW PEW PEW NOW GIMME!!!!!!
