I wasn't talking about you or to you at all.No.. I was more complaining about the fact that people are crying they can't get everything done In 20minutes, mainly collecting all the cards. And add to it that the ones complaining about it are the people who run everything In the game in 1 week and cry there is no content.
I was defending the other OP from the other thread that people kept calling out here for the wrong reasons.
Just ignore them, like everyone else in their life does.No.. I was more complaining about the fact that people are crying they can't get everything done In 20minutes, mainly collecting all the cards. And add to it that the ones complaining about it are the people who run everything In the game in 1 week and cry there is no content.
Card dropping is RNG.
RNG = horrible
Only qualm I have with Triple Triad is the drops are rather crazy sparse, at least for me. I totally understand why it couldn't be like it was in FFVIII, because then we'd all be decked out by Friday, but they can definitely improve what they've given us. I don't mind getting duplicates, because that's sort of a fact of card games that it will happen, but it's always a good idea to have cards coming to the player, so they feel like they're getting things. I've dipped my hand in plenty of terrible mobile card games, the not so terrible ones, that bizarre PSO card game on the Gamecube, and all of them gave you a constant flow of boosters or singles. Sure, 90% of the time it was a card you already had, but the fact that you were getting something did not change. I'd rather a high rate of duplicates than simply nothing, like what I am currently experiencing. Going myriad matches where the NPCs have cards a low of 4, and a high of 7, while my derp ass Chocobo card and his friend of 3s and 4s sit crosseyed is not super great.
I don't think you got the point of it. You're always getting MGP, just like you're always getting gear from raid loot. Your goal is an RNG result of a card reward in TT. Your goal is an RNG result of gear being something specific for you to use in raids. You're progressing in TT due to MGP reward always being there (which you can use to buy cards, among other desirables in the Gold Saucer), hence a form of progression. You're progressing with raid gear that someone else can use and rolls on, even if you don't want the drop for yourself. RNG exists whether you choose to see it or not.
If you can't beat king (or diamonds/spades for that matter) with your starter set, you need to learn how to utilize your cards better given the rules. While I agree about seeing a steady income of cards, we don't have a lot of them in total, which then makes sense about why it's a slow approach. As I said, you can beat a lot of NPCs with your starter set, if not the cards you win from said NPCs. The progression approach is fine right now, all things considered.Only qualm I have with Triple Triad is the drops are rather crazy sparse, at least for me.
