So are the opinions of people who have rabidly apologized for the horrible implementation of the questline.

I realize there is a breed of person that revels in boredom. I'm not one of those people. For an MMO that does nearly everything else better than WoW, it surprised me that the relic questline was such utter shit in comparison to WoW's.

So you enjoy boredom. Good for you. I'd say your opinion is noted, but I don't care about your opinion. No one is going to say "BUT I LIKE BOREDOM!" and make me say, "Gee, maybe I should start liking it, too...".

The relic questline could've been an epic, fun, amazingly-storied section of the game. Instead, it's a weak attempt to force max level players to supplement old content.

If you disagree, that's fine, but don't expect me or the 65+ players who liked the OP to care.

Quest so far is pretty sweet. You can run multiple Zodiac's at the same time at only 200 Soldiery tomes each. I started all 4 of mine. I'm done with the 1st of my 12 Mahatma's for my BLM. Ran CT, ST, and WOD twice and maxed the 1st one. Looking forward to completing it.

No, you're one of those people who shouts and screams, using all caps for emphasis, in an attempt to impose your opinion as fact - or at least that is how it appears based on your behavior right here and now. Perhaps you could/should open your mind to the possibility that others do not share your view.

Have you see Garuda HM lately? It is no different from running fates, they all just burn Garuda with AOE spams and ignore everything else.

So true, it's become a zerg-fest if you have OP DPS, to be honest it's actually extremely disappointing not to have to deal with the mechanics of the fight in the least.

Its not all that bad... When the Atma part came out I hated the crappy drop rate, Was done in a week. When the Books came I hated 1500 tomes for one, Took two weeks. When 75 Alex came I hated it, I had about 30/75 to weeks before 2.3 and I had to take a six month break. Came back for 2.5 finished the Alex Grind last weekend (waited a week cause I leveled NIN). Then it took me about five days to do the Lights, it would have been twice as long before they doubled them. And I've been on Dungeons Since then, I had already bought the items/GC stuff weeks ago.

So all in all It really isn't that bad especially if you start now. Would I do another? HELL NO! I really feel like I would rather be farming lights again than Dungeon cause the Queue times even on PLD suck for some places.

Let me put this another way, can you HONESTLY not see any room for improvement in the current relic questline?

The 7-10 people who have been consistently talking about how much they love boredom, probably.

But putting that aside, can anyone honestly say that the quest couldn't have been much better than it was, in story content, interesting things to do, etc.?

Like I said, WoW did this better, and there's not much WoW does better than FFXIV (especially in WoD, lawl). So what happened with the relic quest?

The original step that got you the base relic was fun. Everything past it has been terrible rehashed garbage.

And I agree wholeheartedly with this.

The first part was neat because it was like, "Okay, this drunk old blacksmith who usually just works on fixing tea kettles is happy to help me out and seems like a neat guy." Then, I was ushered into Mor Dhona where some random miquote handed me a sightseeing brochure...
