So yes, that is in fact an easy hand holding mode, SE being the hand holders. You can try to word it differently if you like, but it is exactly that. Learn the fights, get good at them, and win, then enjoy your cut scene.

I still don't see how 3-6 months down the road, if people complete a nerfed version, how it affects you. Is your accomplishment diminished? Again, I don't even want this mode, but I don't see how it affects anything other then someone's ego. XI dumbed down content to the point of it being solely for the story, no one cared except for the few "omg I had to endure through this, so do you!".
