Not really. It cheapens the feeling of clearing the content. My main incentive for clearing coil is the story, not the gear.meh who cares ?
Alexander coming
easy mode "nerfed SCOB + echo mode" with loot
hard mode "savage SCOB mode" with better loot (and titles maybe)
fixes what the thread was about before people began to rant for whatever suits them
fixes the need to feel special by having exclusive rewards for the good ones
fixes the need to nerf content as it grows older
brand new loot system to avoid the weeks of useless junk going to trash
everyone will win from that.
END
(pretty please with sugar coat ? yes ?)
Uhm. No and no.
It was told the hard version will be as difficult as final coil, but a little bit harder. Nothing said it will be like savage.
Actually there also was nothing said about loot.
As far i know, the sell runs actually are done by account sharing as there are mechanics that need all 8 ppl and they must be alive (best example last phase in T12: the boss get very fast dmg stacks when dead ppl are on the floor).SE already implemented an option for people to get carried through coil with no loot

Here's why I can't do it at the moment.
I'm pregnant. I can't commit to a static full-well knowing that at the moment, I need to you know do things like barf and go potty literally on a moments notice...and soon will be at a little minion's beck and call (babies don't feed themselves, and daddy's lack the 'equipment' also, it takes a while for babies to be on set 'normal' schedules...so really, until I know that the baby will sleep through the night, no statics for me). I've been in static's before and was able to do the content, on time pre-nerfs (before my static disbanded). So it's not a 'gee do I suck thing' It's 100% a 'ain't nobody got time for that' thing.
Which by the way, I totally accept is MY problem. And I don't expect to be able to do the hardmode versions of the story/nor do I expect to get the gear etc. But this is what I would like/why I wish there were 2 versions:
1. I would like to be able to see the story. Simply put, waiting until my baby is old enough for me to join a static again is really waaay to long to wait to see new storylines.
2. I DON'T want the content nerfed before I can actually do the 'hard' versions. See right now, the content gets gimped before I can even really focus on it. I don't want that. I want it to be there, in all it's glory when I'm ready to do it. Having a 'storymode' and a 'hard' mode allow for this as the main reason for the coil nerfs now has been to make the content easier to be pugged/accessibilty. But if there were 2 modes (ala normal/ex primals now), then SE would have less reason to systematically nerf old content when new content comes out.
The irony for me when people keep saying 'get gud', is it has nothing to do with 'boo-hoo I suck' and everything to do with 'please SE keep it hard until I can try it that way too' I WANT to be able to do the hard mode....I just don't think I'll logically be able to even attempt the first tiers of the new Alex dungeon (or heck, for that matter finish off Coil), before the nerf-hammers happen.
Now for others it's a mix of things
...some are in my boat meaning real life is getting in the way, but they otherwise enjoy the challenge/don't mind putting in the time, but just don't have the time RIGHT NOW!.
...some don't like farming the same content over and over...see a little known thing people focus on when it comes to 'join/make a static and learn it' is statics tend to not only want to beat the battle, but they want to farm it as well...if you however, don't care about gear (yes there are people like that), and really just care about the challenge and/or clear, statics really aren't for you.
...some people find dying over and over again on a battle and spending hours on it soul-crushing. They simply do not want to spend hours wiping. Even the top-tier, super duper, 'leet crowd spent hours upon hours wiping out to this content, so it's reasonable for someone, who's being honest with themselves to say 'yeah, you know, I enjoy seeing the story etc... but I really find it draining to just die over and over' And considering that this is supposed to be a form of relaxation/entertainment....something we're supposed to enjoy, if deathga's over and over aren't your thing I can understand why you'd avoid them (now to be fair, most of the time, people who fall into this catergory avoid endgame content all together, but they still wish there was a simplier version so they could try it). Also, not enjoying dying over and over again does NOT equal=sucky player, it just means they don't enjoy wipes.
....some people don't want to commit to gaming at specific times w/ specific people. They'd rather PuG or randomly do content with friends/fc mates when they are available. For some people, just knowing 'I have to log in for my static at x time on y days' ='s stress and they start to dislike the game/grind, even though they are capable of doing the content and would otherwise, actually enjoy it.

There is literally nothing to see until you hit FCOB though. If you've seen t1-t4 cut scenes then you've generally known what's gonna happen from t5 to t11, cutscenes that don't tell you much. They literally barfed everything out at t12. If you want to see everything you're gonna have to be able to do FCOB and potentially beat t13 too. I'm still working on t13 but eh, I doubt it'll tell me anything much.
If you see it this way, then you didn't understood it. The scenes from T1-11 show you the pieces of the puzzle one by one and T12 is connecting them to each other.

Nope. The t5 clear cutscene shows something 'shocking' but it is minor and if you've followed everything properly from the msq, you would realize that what you saw was not strange or 'puzzling' at all. Then you get nothing interesting until you beat t9 which only confirms yet again what the msq has been telling you how a certain aspect of the world works which ends up being irrelevant to the overall 'story line' and only kinda matters to people who have played 1.x. Then the t12 start (or t11 clear) implied a plot twist which was quickly resolved once you beat t12. t13 start seem to have no more loose ends and just pushes to you that this is the final fight that ends this side story.
Hildibrand has more of a 'story' than coil does. Hell, even msq too. You can fit the entire of coil story within one episode of tv show or less. Even if you argue that t1-5 was puzzling (lol) to some people and they 'need to know more', that's actually worse for them because everything is in t12 and they won't be able to experience that until they start fcob...which is still very much relevant. Letting people tap twintania once so that she keels over so that they can watch less than a quarter of the story is begging for those people to demand the rest of coil to get the same treatment.
Importent story cut scenes that actuallyhas dialogue are at T1,5,6,7,8,9,10,11, Big important ones T12,13
there that's all and no No easy story mode coil let the time and money go towards more open world and end game content 5 months from now I'm sure coil will get 25% echo but I'm sure people will still complain about something.
if 20/15% echo can't help, 25% won't help either.Importent story cut scenes that actuallyhas dialogue are at T1,5,6,7,8,9,10,11, Big important ones T12,13
