It's different because it makes people who haven't completed something feel less important. Like I said before, the tools are there to manage this already, why would SE want to piss off their casual player base by adding a feature that belittles them? You might not care about them but I'm sure that SE's wallet cares.

I'm pretty sure melee players felt excluded and discriminated from the range only garuda ex pfs.

Players will exclude so long as there are ways to identify (sold bonus). If pf says farm must have cleared and you silently join with sold bonus it just wastes everyone's time. If you just pm the leader to explain situation (it's an alt, I've cleared 1000 times or whatever) then DO THAT. Silently joining when you don't meet the requirements set forth by the leader is just absurdly rude and should be met with swift kick. If you think you got what it takes to participate then speak to the leader. Silently slipping in hoping no one notices just tells me you don't think you can hack it. If you got what it takes why are you hiding?

I agree that it's a waste of every bodies time, that's why I suggested that you kick them from the party and blacklist if you feel it's necessary. If the player is on the party leaders blacklist they can't join the PF.

You guys are acting like I'm vouching for the liars, I'm not and I will kick them and blacklist them all day.

What I'm saying is that they probably will not implement a feature like that because it may make the people who aren't even joining your party to begin with feel segregated and SE wants this game to be casual/hardcore/etc. friendly. Simple fact is that nobody wants to open PF and see a list of greyed out parties, if you don't think they'll complain about that then do you even forum?

Nowhere in the terms of service does it say that i MUST party with anyone else, just that i cannot discriminate or harrass. all of this is a moot point if you just start some learning parties and learn the fight. you cant tell people to fall back on a system that depends on honesty, clearly it isnt working.
enough excuses about why you should be able to join regardless of the party requirements. Not being the center of the universe means that not every party is for you. most people who are trying to clear have already spent hours of time building learning discussing practicing. they are ready, and they shoudn't have to start from scratch for one player who feels "left out".
if you feel left out then get in that pf and start learning.

Bonus means nothing to me. I know many people who were carried through T5 and couldn't help a cleared party with 1 or 2 bonus people because they couldn't pass conflag phase. Or got carried through Mog/Levi ex and keep failing pretty hard at Ramuh's first phase.

I find carried people being more of a dead weight than any bonus first timer because they didn't really beat the previous content and they shouldn't be there. And you never know when you have carried players in your party.

You realize that I'm not talking about my own feelings right? I couldn't care less and I would probably use the feature lots if it were implemented, I just don't see that happening. Whether it's a personal problem or not, SE doesn't want people to feel bad, end of story. If it weren't true then you explain all of the content nerfs they keep throwing at us.

I don't think we're talking about the skill of the player joining the farm party, so much as we're lamenting the fact that someone would think that a "no sol bonus" would somehow apply to everyone BUT them. Simply put, it's rude to join such a group without at least notifying the party leader beforehand and arguing their cause to join.

The difference between a clear party and a farm party is vast. Especially when someone is wanting to do numerous runs as EFFICIENTLY as possible to try to get a particular item. Farm parties shouldn't be clearing by the skin of their teeth and wiping every third run.

On a random, slightly related note... A thing that tends to bug me with farm parties is the often-mentioned "must link drop" demand. First of all, it's not certain, even if you have more than one clear, that you ever managed to get a drop. And secondly... Now that you can link things from the chat, it's way too easy to circumvent by asking a friend/FC member to link a weapon to you, and then link that ^^;
Sure, you can go on to demand "must equip drop", but that excludes those who greedrolled on things for jobs they don't have at 50 yet just so it wouldn't be lost cos all the others went "pass" or "have it" ^^;

But anyway, that would be noticed when you get in and see the tome bonus :p Unless it's too new to have tome bonus for newcomers. And the people cheating the system would most likely get blisted for it. But it still makes me sad to see, for example, Ramuh Ex "link item" runs where I still haven't gotten a drop ^^; Excluding me from that one.

And likewise, you can have a drop and a clear... but on another job/role and have very little clue what your task is as the new role.

Because if they join/form a learning party, it'll take them more than 2 hours to get a tank, and he'll leave after the 3rd wipe saying "this is a waste of time, u fu***ng noobs"

Simple as that.
It'll all be fine once people realize nobody has an obligation to know T10 just cuz it's been out for a month.

If you absolutely need teamspeak to farm content that is cleared regularly in Duty Finder you probably have bigger problems than newbies sneaking into your runs.

I think the point is that, for whatever reason, he wants it and it's part of the party finder comment. If you have an issue with that don't join the group. That's much less rude than joining and whining when you get booted. He could say I demand you have a green dyed chestpiece - it doesn't matter, his party his rules.
