Pf creator sets the rule. Don't like it? Start your own. Join and not abide by their criteria? No sympathy, kick. You have 4 options for pf.

*Join silently and meet the criteria/rules.
*don't meet criteria? PM leader and petition your situation.
    *Don't join.
    *Start your own pf.

I don't care if they want i125 to farm garuda hm lights and you think it's dumb. Their party their rules. Don't like it, don't join, petition your case in pm, start your own. I have zero sympathy for joining a group with requirements written out and choosing to ignore them. If you want to join anyway, pm. No pm and don't meet requirements equals swift and merciless kick.

I have enormous amounts of tolerance for people if they try. I will wipe on a boss with you if you are willing to discuss your mistakes and work out a plan to correct them. Feeling like you are the reason a group wipes sucks, it is why I want to help. If I post videos and guides to make it easier for you, carry you through content, spend my time gearing you when I could be doing other things, then you then tell you don't look at what I create for you. "it's only a game". You call me elitist because I expect you come prepared, you act like I am the bad guy(NOT COOL). When you do group content you are entering a social convention that expects you to be reasonably prepared and have a decent understanding of the job you are expected to perform. Insulting you because you make a mistake is rude. Showing up to content unprepared and without the proper knowledge of your job and expecting others to provide you with step by step instructions is more rude and extremely selfish.

Make a statement in your PF that says you'll kick people that screw up too many times.. problem solved. Not sure if you just want to feel special or if you seriously couldn't figure that out on your own. Shaming people is rude whether you're right or wrong, simple as that, so just kick them and move on. Odds are they will get over it and if they don't and prefer to harass you then blacklist them. The game gives you all the tools you need to deal with this kind of situation.

I think a solution to this is to give party leaders the option to set up Party Finder so that a player who has yet to clear the content you're looking for members for can't join the party. It's a win/win: the party doesn't have to deal with a liar, the liar doesn't make themselves look silly, and fun can be had once the party forms without worry of somebody ruining that.

That's discrimination and it will never happen in this game. They wouldn't want players who haven't completed something to feel segregated and unable to join certain parties. If the players want to do that then it's on them and SE doesn't have to take the blame and lose subs over it. The tools are there for players to manage this themselves.

Yes, people can waste your precious time if they join a farm group and don't have it completed. Every farm group I've ever joined looks for that sol bonus message and tries to kick people accordingly anyways though unless something has been negotiated with the player who needs clear and the party agrees.

It's no different than requesting specific jobs and a higher than required iLvl in the PF options.

It's different because it makes people who haven't completed something feel less important. Like I said before, the tools are there to manage this already, why would SE want to piss off their casual player base by adding a feature that belittles them? You might not care about them but I'm sure that SE's wallet cares.

Umm..no, it's not different at all. It makes a WHM feel less important when a party is specifically asking for a SCH. It's making an ilvl 100 DRG feel less important when the party is specifically asking for ilvl 101+. So how is it any different when a party is asking for people that have at least cleared the content? In the end, you're requesting specific people to join your party.

I think this would be in the best interest of a casual player. It is almost always a poor experience to end up in a group with people who do not want you there.

lol I don't know how to explain it to you so I'm not going to argue. To put it simply, job requirements don't require skill, completion of content does. You're making people who are less skilled feel less important. If you can't understand how that is belittling the casual player base when less than one quarter of them have final coil access then I don't really know what else to say.

That's my opinion, and if you don't agree then that's fine, maybe we'll see a feature like that implemented but personally I highly doubt it.
