Couple questions.
- is it worth getting 491 Skill Speed for the 2s GCD. (Say at the cost of some crit)
- will the damage increase of the crafted set outweigh the loss of LB damage from the lower average ilvl

Unless yuou're using a crafted Weapon, Crafted Gear won't affect LB At all.

I believe it's 476 Skill Speed for a 2.0 GCD. I tried it for a while in NIN's early days and, while the flow felt really nice, my TP suffered immensely.
Now that I'm in FCoB, just thinking of anything over 425 is painful. Granted, we're still progressing through T11, so if our BRD is playing anything, it's Ballad, but there's far too much up-time in T10 for that kind of speed.
I'm now giving my NIN the MNK treatment; less is more.
Edit: Though now I'm curious what a 2x NIN setup could do (Goading each other), both with 2.0 GCDs.

Yeah this is the set I was looking at. Stat weights it is lower, but that's why I was curious about the practical use of getting more attacks within your buffs. (Fitting in 2 x Shadow Fang for every B4B etc)
I could definitely see TP being an issue then without Paeon as I believe that puts you at 1.9975 GCD with Huton. (2.35 GCD without)

><; I think my heart stopped when I saw the Skill Speed, ...and then I saw the Determination and it nearly attacked me. lol
Maybe it's just me, but I would nevereverever take that Det to a raid.
Super-high Skill Speed builds can be fun to play with, and if you're running dungeons or farming Garuda, it could even be the best way to go, but that's as far it'll get. You'll benefit so much more trying to strike a balance between Crit and Det on anything that takes longer than 4 minutes to kill. My aim is always: current Acc cap > 350+ Det > 500+ Crit > 400~ SkSp,

Thanks for your answer. I always go for Crit/Det where I can since AA isn't effected by Skill Speed. I was just curious is all, since War uses a bit of Skill Speed to fit more skills in on their Berserk with good results.><; I think my heart stopped when I saw the Skill Speed, ...and then I saw the Determination and it nearly attacked me. lol

I hear ya, and it's always good to experiment - the best way to learn anything is through experience. The thing with WAR though is they only need 390-420? to fit 10-11? GCDs into a Berserk. Anyway, that much skill speed isn't going to affect TP much, whereas 476+ for a Ninja shortens an encounter to under 3 minutes without Paeon or Goad.
