I'm assuming Fran doesn't count.

I don't really mind gender locked fashions too much - but not when it comes to iconic FF character costumes - that said I don't think glamor should be gender locked at all but can see why this was chosen >.<
It just seems a little unfair - as certain players will wish for the chance to wear the same type of costume as a character they liked.
If they wanted to gender lock costumes then it should have been two iconic FF character costumes - like maybe giving females Terra's costume or something instead of a genetic 'sexy bunny' costume.
I think they just went for a Casino theme and Setzer was the only iconic FF character that fit. The whole bunny outfit thing is seen in many casinos in various video games.
I'm okay with gender-locked gear itself, and I think this is totally fair as long as down the road we see an iconic female FF character set released alongside a non-iconic yet thematically appropriate male set.
You're missing the point. Males are getting a detailed, iconic FF set while females are getting something that looks like a $15 costume that came out of a plastic bag after being purchased at a Halloween store.
Umm... No. It's not the only one. *scrolls back up and fetches a relevant quote*
Never mind that we have Quistis Trepe who is secretly the resident card games master of Balamb Garden, all three of the Gold Saucer dates (who are also mainline FFVII characters, i.e. absurdly easy marketing sells,) or if they were absolutely obsessed with the gambler theme, even the freaking Lady Luck outfits from FFX-2 would've at least been a token effort to give female characters an iconic Gold Saucer outfit associated with gambling. They ain't even trying.
Celes gambled versus Setzer and won.
(She cheated, but it totally counts.)
I don't see how this makes a disadvantage in the game. Just don't buy the gear. Problem is..people will purchase it anyway.
We've had sexy bee suits, though. And I could live with that... if the two outfits had any sort of equivalence in relation to the franchise. Name one FF game where one of the main characters' primary costume has been a sexy bunny suit.
(Main characters as in playable characters that are not temporarily controlled NPCs.)
