Gold Saucer outfits, gender locked?

I think different outfits for the genders is a good idea. That is equality.

Play a female character? Make a set for only female characters.

Play a male character? Make a set for only male characters.

You're missing the point. Males are getting a detailed, iconic FF set while females are getting something that looks like a $15 costume that came out of a plastic bag after being purchased at a Halloween store.
