All Melee have a one-shot ability that hits for 3.8k minimum. Yet DoT specs have "absurdly high burst". I feel like I'm in Bizarro world.
Caster LBs are almost a non-issue if people spread out instead of forming a giant cluster at the top of the ramp. It's not so much coordination as it is just picking on a weak team. Most people would say the #1 rule of PvP is never backpedal.
Soo, are you going to go over Melee LB coordination VS. Caster LB coordination?
Is it that hard for melees to time their LB? It's just patience.
In secure they used to send a Ninja in stealth and LB me while the rest of the team went up the ramp. Slaughter is pretty much the same. A couple of PMs I've seen send in a melee to LB the healer right before stacked cometeors.
SMN's raw damage was untouched with the "Nerf", which shortened EVERY JOB's CC. Only thing that got nerfed was swiftcast, however SMN just needs the dot to be on you. It's painfully clear that you didn't experience high-end PvP.
I have no idea what it is you're trying to get at. So, 1 melee LBs a random healer, then Casters follow up with we've been trying to explain to you is OP? Why not just CC the healer and stack the Cometeors on them, instead of sending your melee on a suicide mission?Is it that hard for melees to time their LB? It's just patience.

except BLM damage has been recently buffed. the nerfs to BLM CC was also just universal CC nerfs.
BLM aside, the SMN nerf was to stop nonstop raises from non-healing jobs/classes. Disease nerf was needed too because the effect from Storm's Eye and Disease stacked and with the heavy effect and you turned into an unhealable slow moving deadman because you recieve -66% heals.
How can you not understand how good SMN burst is? like if you sit down and do the math you can do 300 + 80 +150 + 80 potency in about 4-5 seconds and that's not counting the pet's damage which is another 100 potency. I would say thanks to the damage buff BLM beats out SMN in burst due to firestarter and phantom dart but SMN still has a hefty single target burst. even if you don't kill they're stuck with disease to recover from and dots still ticking.
