Misunderstanding Skill Speed

It's funny, in ffxi a haste build was incredible cause you used auto attacks to BUILD tp, haste made you auto attack faster so you built tp faster for more weaponskills.
In ffxiv it's the exact opposite, skill speed builds are awful cause they waste your tp faster meaning less weaponskills and has no effect on auto attacks.

Yes! I find it so awkward that we just start with TP @ a set amount instead of building it up. I am hoping that they change skill/spell speed to HASTE! Along with a plethora of other useful stats such as:
Cure % / Regen +5
Double/Triple Attacks
Haste (Using the below example this would now increase auto-attack speed for DPS & Spell Casting / Recast times for Mages)

My hope is that the GCD is removed and we revert to actually building our TP for attacks. All major buffs and such will remain on a GCD to avoid the obvious.
