Vampires in Eorzea

I'm hoping for the Shinra mansion to be re-imagined as a dungeon or new big open-world location to explore (can rename it and change a few things for lore if they like), it's the one thing from VII I'd like to see, that could have the vamps you crave
I know we have Haukke Manor and its one of my fave dungeons (both versions) but I always liked the Shinra mansions creepy atmosphere, the music and the monsters, a nice 3D version with some cool lighting, particle effects for atmosphere and setting would be good.

She's nothing like a vampire. A vampire becomes a vampire by being bitten by another vampire, and from there on out they must feed on blood to survive (or at the very least maintain their strength). She doesn't have any of the cliche vampire traits like bat transformations, blood-sucking abilities, regenerating wounds, superhuman speed and strength, ect (she also uses Dark Mist, which screams succubus). And personally, I have enough faith in the devs to believe they will create brand new models for vampires instead of recycling succubi models.

To be fair these were one of the most frightening encounters in 11 because of all the ridiculous debuffs/dooms/charms they had.

I'd appreciate a recycle.

If they do recreate vampires in Eroza I hope they make Dracula more like Dracula than bald and demonic like all the ones in XI. I can see it tiered like vampiric undead servent (red eyed zombies with fangs), Nosferatu/Vampire (bald and clawed), Vampire Nobles/Lords (Think Hellsing, Hunter D, Dracula/Vald Tempes, Bram Stroker or Lee's personage, etc.) Otherwise I can see them appearing near Coerthas or in the Shroud. the crypts and ruins for noble families provide more fodder for vampires there. On that part, doesn't Odin without his helm kind of resembles the bald vampire from XI? Especially being elven with those pointy ears.

Different lores have different ideas of how vampires work and how they're made. As an example, look up Jiangshi. So for all intents and purposes, she's vampire-ish and has a semi-distinct model from the succubi. Halicarnassus also counts as she not only has draining blood from her adds as a mechanic, but follows in up with an attack called rain of blood based on how much HP she drains from them.

Didn't you take notice of the storyline for Haukke Manor? Lady Amendine had virtually became a vampire after making a shady deal with the Void/Ascians (or at least, she was a thinly-veiled Madame Bathoy copy in that she was drinking blood from her maidservants in an attempt to regain her beauty) - although she looked more like a succubus, the connection was clear.

FFXI also has vampire enemies, although they were a special genus of undead who only appeared as a boss monster (which curiously was absent from that FF Wiki list)

Yeah well for me it only counts (no pun intended) If they are pretty explicitly vampires and are referred to as such in the story. You know, like how Vincent Valentine was basically undead, slept in a coffin and turned into a huge bat like beast despite not being an actual vampire. Yes I did play both Haukke Manors(my favorite dungeons by the way) but a perfectly normal noblewoman tricked by Lahabrea to tear off faces falls short of my definition. As for the FFXI vampires? Well the wiki only lists tham if their name was Vampire. If they were Vampire Something, or Something Vampire they might not make it.

Oh, Shinra Manor. God, yes. I always fealt that one of the biggest reasons why VII dominated VI despite doing some things worse, is how effortlessly it combined jidai gekki, steampunk, high fantasy and gothic horror(among other things.) Shinra Manor was gothic horror at its finest. How about the phantom train taking you to Shina Manor?

Yes, yes, yes. This is what I was talking about in the OP. I want vampires nobles in Ishgard. For added fun, a house of pure human vampire hunters, a house of half-blood vampire hunters, a house of good vampires and a house of bad vampires. Imagine all the reveals, manipulations, betrayals and gambit roulettes. Can I hope for the machinists to be vamp hunters?
