It's always the tanks fault. That's my motto. Whether I'm on my PLD/WAR or not. ^.^ Tis the price we pay to PUG unfortunately.

Ah, team jump rope. >. <
For all the trouble, there is one very nice upside to a static: Blame tends to go where it belongs, but it's not the RAAAAAAAAGE kind of blame either. It's "you need to place the whatever correctly" or "wait for the mark to disappear before moving" or so on. Basically... actual constructive advice. The attitude sucks. WHY it sucks... is that we aren't part of the party. Either A) We're the party's meek polite little servants who follow them around, or B) bossy tsunderes who bark orders that hired goons that need babysitting. There aren't any middle grounds. Why can't people treat us like fellow videogamers? I swear most people think it's Legend of Zelda, and were jus tthier personal healing fairy.
I would say try to get a static. Again, I know it's a huge pain, but it sounds like it's the kind of experience you're looking for. You'll get treated as an equal (in any that are halfway decent anyway).
Kudos for jumping on the grenade like that. Sadly a lot of pug tanks jump on the blame-the-healer bandwagon (especially WARs for some reason?).
As a healer, I take blame for my own mistakes as well. Speaking on content outside of Coil (no T9 experience past Golems), I can normally heal through any massive attack. If it isn't a one-shot, and someone die, it's probably my fault for trying something different. If someone is hit with poison and their HP is under 800, and they die, it's because I didn't help them specifically (I went for Medica or Regen instead).
90% of the time, I'm on standby with my Cures and Esuna rather than trying to toss Aero lol
Just do your job and not worry about the rest. When adds pop up there's always a double prey, have the SCH use adlo on one and you cast SS on the other. Immediately, heal the tank you are supposed to heal. If after your SS your prey's target receives damage from a crackle hiss from one of the adds because either the tank positioned the adds poorly or a DPS is positioned wrong, that is not your fault and you are not freaking going to be able to do a single thing in such situation, prey's mark gonna receive a spike damage and then get paralyzed, completely not your fault, just keep going on with the mechanics and don't panic. Don't go emo when bad stuff happens, keep doing your job and know your priorities very well (this is very important when you are healing), if there's a DPS with 1k HP and the tank is at half HP but he's getting critical ripped, IGNORE the DPS, he can be raised, if the tank dies however, most times "it's gg get your face onto the deathwall let's restart this guys".
Also, your post really really is a mix of a lot of things...first you say you have problems mostly with prey (the tank's almost dead when preys appear, I really don't understand this; this might actually be your fault)....then you keep on by saying people are one shot by wild charge...the hell. Really. Sit down, take a pill, spot what is in your hands and what you can do better, and once you do that start realizing what's going on and if it's up to you or somebody else to solve it.
If you have trouble dealing with Prey during the add phase try one of the following.
During the add phase pop Presence of Mind. Then prioritise Prey in the following order.
Yourself
DPS
Other healer
I am going to assume the other healer is a SCH. The SCH Adlo is enough to stop Prey. A WHM with PoM can stoneskin both Prey as well. The SCH should also save their Lustrates. During the add phase one or both of the tanks can take a fair amount of damage, but then again they should also have cooldowns ready as well.
On a side note you should have Stoneskin and Adloquium on the MT when Critical Rip comes up. But when coupled with Prey each healer must split the responsibility and one takes prey and one takes Critical Rip.
No one should get one shot. Heat lightning should never clip extra players. Tether should be dealt with players specifically marked for it and wild charge should have anyone not dealing with Theather or hit by heat lightning.
Lastly if people are taking too much damage then there is something definitely wrong. There are very specific moments when the entire party will take damage, outside of these if people are taking damage then there is something wrong with those players.
You can see my WHM POV kill for T10. I mostly created this video to get advice from my team mates.

But Swiftcast is for shadowflare....
With PoM you can start stoneskinning the whole party except tanks before adds are spawning, depends a bit if you got one or two wild charges before second adds. If you got a second charge and then immediately phase change to second adds, which is the worst case, I pop PoM start skinning and let the SCH heal both tanks for a short amount of time. When prey is out all have stoneskin and I switch back to my assigned tank.
