If raids are not hard, why do so many people fail? Oh, it's probably because they are doing 150 dps and think they are doing fine when in fact they are killing the party by not meeting dps checks when they should be doing 350.

Why is an elitist member of the microscopic sized extremely hardcore raiding community trying to dictate how the majority of people should be forced to play in a mandatory way? That community is niché, it is a tiny fraction of this player base, you should not be trying to force (mandatory) features which would cater to your tiny group onto the majority who do not play as you do and are not part of your tiny group. If remained optional you would not lose out because those who fall into your category of your community would have the option of using such. There is no legitimate excuse for making such mandatory especially when those who are part of that community are such a tiny fraction of this player base.

Ignorance

Because my progression is my own. Once again why should I be forced to live up to someone else's expectations of me? I pay 15$ a month to enjoy the game the way I see fit. I'll be damned if you're going to tell me how to play my role because you use a 3rd party device to do so. Why can't you play the game without a parser? Why can't you think for yourself for once and see what you are doing wrong with your own eyes?

The reason people fail is because nobody has the damn patience to teach people. People like you who don't stand for nothing less than perfection were new to fights at one point. You are no prodigy, everyone has a learning curve. You fail to understand the fact that if a parser is used in a party wide situation it will be used to harass and kick players out of parties due to low number count.

The swing goes both ways honey. If you have forgotten that with a parser comes a malicious attitude towards those with lower skill levels, this harassment is what SE has been and always will avoid. The game isn't about numbers. It's about having fun with your friends and enjoying what value the game provides to you. You clearly can't see this due to your black and white perspective between elite and casual players.

The irony of this comment, is that no one could teach you how to be better unless they knew you were that much worse, which would require a parser.

You can't teach people if you don't know they're doing something wrong, though. Unless you sit there and watch their entire rotation, you have no way of knowing if someone's rotation is completely off. All you're going to know is that you're not passing a DPS check in a fight. You aren't going to know who, you aren't going to know why, and as such you can't help them even if you want to.
