So what you're telling me is the pro strat is to pull early and blame somebody specific that i don't like.

Its sad hunts have caused such hostility on many servers
I have seen very cooperative groups and some not to thoughtful as well.
I have not read through the posts, this is just my personal opinion on the topic.
We are arguing amongst each other when we should ban together and push SE to change the mechanics slightly. Their design allows the problems in the first place. Sadly they cant count on enough ppl to be decent, as humans, they cant even risk it, as there will always be those set on doing something questionable.
I don't condone early pulling but it isn't against any rules either. I would much rather wait for as many ppl as possible to arrive because I prefer everyone gets a chance.
Realistically that's not how humans work though, I blame SE for not adjusting the design to at least try to solve the issues.
Unattackable wait timer upon a new "discovery" ability or something like that (only needs to me 2-3 min or so Oo), mob icon appearing on map once "discovered", noticeably scaling hp as more join in, offer upgrade items in a lot more areas, dungeons, more weekly quests for said items. They could resolve so many issues tomorrow if they chose to.
Since they don't, that alone should tell you where all this effort needs to be directed, and it isn't at each other.
SE can alleviate many of the issues, they CHOOSE not to, be frustrated at them not ppl being ...well...ppl.
I don't agree with shaming as much as I don't agree with early pulling.
Both could be lessened a lot if se would step up and change the design, now rather then later.![]()
♥ MORE HIGH HEELS + INSTANCED HOUSING! ♥!
Agreed, and the simple solution is to make mob HP scale to the number of players killing it.
This is already used in WoW and I believe GW2 right now: for each additional person that attacks a mob, it gains X HP.
This way, if there are 10 people trying to kill an A rank, it'll take 2 minutes. If there are 1,000 people, it'll still take 2 minutes.
And 2 minutes is really all we need to ensure that people get a fair shot at killing these monsters. Right now, you can be LOOKING for a hunt mob, have it spawn across the zone from you and then it'll be dead before you get there, despite the fact that you were doing the right thing by helping to search instead of sitting on the aetherite like a lazy sack of crap, waiting for the announcement.
Had my first instance of suspicious activity last night while hunting. Ran into Melt and literally NO ONE was around. Went to send a message to my party and the chat log was immediately slathered with coord shouts. I'm not lying when I say I was the ONLY one on the scene. And it was more than one person giving coords too. Really odd.
The hunts was pretty very laid back and friendly before the update.
I'm guessing that it will become back friendly again when all the rushers will get all their upgrade items.
I been hunting a lot lately, but I'm one of those person that dont belive in "early pull" the closest would be fast pull but really dont mind. What I see a lot even when only one window is open is a lot of ppl sitting on their mont near the camp, not even looking for th mob. Im sorry but if me and my party are actively looking for the hunt im going to pull as soon as my party get there and enough ppl get there to kill, and by enough ppl is 3-4 more parties. If you were afk near camp or doing other stuff im sorry but i wont wait for a stranger that did nothing
If you don't think early pulling is bad, then you're very inconsiderate...
When I find a hunt, I tell my group, LS and shout. I then wait a couple of mins to let the ones that are actively hunting get there before pulling... At least that is how it was before 2.5
Now on the other hand, when I find a hunt and call it out, people ofc zerg it, but as soon as they get there, they pull...
We aren't just talking about people waiting too short... We are talking about people not waiting at all
One in my group found a hunt yesterday, but because I have slightly longer load times then some others, I couldn't get there in time before people had killed it... And we are not talking about any extreme load times.
You find hunt -> let people know -> wait couple of mins -> pull
Some one else finds it -> go there asap -> wait for the initial people to pull.... Don't just pull as soon as you see it
On my server at least, during peak hours, you are happy if you get like 4-5 kills out a whole rotation atm... but hey, "it's just a game..." so who cares? Just about 99% of the players...

I think it's weird that people think everyone can get credit. The mob regularly disappears on me when "enough" people show up and dies within seconds of the pull. A little tough to build credit that way. I don't know if these "wait for the rest to show up" people are just hunting on off peak hours or what. If I find a hunt, gather what I feel is enough people for the hunt, can the rest of the server be considerate enough to respect my wish to just be able start before the mob vanishes? No, probably not.
It would also be nice if everyone and their mother didn't have to roll as dps whenever they are hunting. amazing how much more seals would go around if everyone went tank or heals. Just sayin.
That's just one more reason to actively develop a group of FRIENDS. I got kicked from a hunt ls because I was tanking a mob someone else early pulled. False accusation don't matter. My friends don't dodge me, and there's always a new hunt ls to join. No one cares, and the people that do care are petty, small people I wouldn't want to associate with anyway.a text on a screen read by zillions of people and based on that only text they decide to join the bandwagon and without even knowing they degrade insult and tlike, so even if text yes it is not to be taken lightly. Also if you ignore you dont know what is being said about you and keep wondering why people run when they see you...Ignore is not the solution especially ify ou want to report for harrassement.
Just me though

Develop your own social network and the need to have the world at large approve of you is irrelivant. The world is a mob. Easily manipulated and fickle. It's so much easier and healthier in life to ignore the mob and focus on your own relationships with people.
