Hating on Justin Bieber is the in thing to do, but clearly there are people who actually like him, and a considerable amount. It's become a stereotype, of sorts, to criticize young pop artists. But Hildibrand doesn't have that same stigma about him. All feedback points to the hate on him clearly being a minority response.
No seriously, Hildibrand IS the Justin Bieber of FFXIV content, cheap, stupidly popular for reasons my adult (classically trained in music btw) brain can't fathom. It's a beyond stupid questline. I have literally hated every moment of it. But unlike 'Bieber Fever' I don't really have a choice to avoid Hildy without making my game play harder. I need to complete the storylines in order to access my daily roulettes fully. I don't HAVE to listen to the Beibs to enjoy music as I see fit.

I don't care that he stays, goes, dies, morphs into a butterfly (Hildy or the Biebs). If people like this very stupid story, more power to them...but don't force it on the entire playerbase. Make it like the Moogle delivery sideline, updated every patch, but doesn't effect anyone's game play who chooses to avoid it.
