If there are people who are able to grow attached to a character after they were introduced not too long ago, then it shows that SE did good in the "hey I like this guy/gal, would be a shame if... NOOOO!" story-telling.

I'm seeing a pattern where any new characters linked to either the scions or scholars of Baldesion are given the hook cane out of the story so SE doesn't have to include them in the expansion (e.g. G'raha, Moenbryda). Yugiri gets to stay since she has a game development purpose (being the new race), but maybe SE will yank her off one day as well. Unless they want a sudden surprise for the players in a reuniting sense, farther in the expansion's storyline, who knows, just my speculation.

Moenbryda will definitely appear in flashbacks in the expansion, and maybe even as a ghost when Urianger needs her most. G'raha, I can't really see reappearing (even though his FF3 counterpart did), simply because of how badly the CT ending wanted to beat you over the head with how you'll never see him again, even if you wanted to, because of this "noble" thing that only he his blood can do.

Though I'd love them to prove me wrong on both counts, I don't think this game has really surprised me since level 34, simply because they knew better than to foreshadow that twist.
