Done to death doesnt matter. You aren't SE, don't speak as if you are
No. Bad enough people think it's required. I have no desire to spend money on a mic. I have no desire to hear people becoming idiots over other people on the mic. Think chat can get dumb when they're just typing it? It gets even worse when all they need to do is speak.
It would be just another feature most people would mute (or turn off if they could) and ignore. I certainly don't care enough about pugs that I want to listen to the vitriol they'd spew over voice chat when being restricted to typing isn't a barrier for it.
Ok first off I'm not in a static and I don't lead so in no way should I have to dish out money for it if some one is just go a ask the chat info and there is none then they need to just deal with it other wise get a server to share. Secondly I love raiding I like the challenge I love the story and I love getting high level gear.Let me counter this with "if you want to raid so bad, why don't you get a server for something you know the majority of raiders use?" You must not like raiding. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean no one else will expect it. As a leader, you should consider this.
If I recall, WoW added a voice chat system that utterly failed. I would expect they'd need more servers to host personalized chats, and then people will complain about how it should be used for housing.
Third I don't even talk in chat I don't like talking threw it so in no way am I put money in something I don't care for.
I use an I pad I don't use my laptop for this stuff lots of people who don't like the thing appear to use such devices. And I shouldn't have to provide to people who just demand voice.
Hey a person want to use voice chat fine nothing against it, but even for raids don't join someone else party and expect them to run it the way you want them to.Let me counter this with "if you want to raid so bad, why don't you get a server for something you know the majority of raiders use?" You must not like raiding. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean no one else will expect it. As a leader, you should consider this.
There are free voice chats too or free TS servers.
If I make my own party I demand people, to join TS or to leave, but if I join party of other people, I let them set their own rules. Anyways I wouldn't progress new coil without voice chat.![]()
The OP made a post about "When Ifrit Hard Mode was Hard".
Obviously he needs voice com more than most, ironic.
And No!. In game system would be a waste of resources (cost wise). Any group who isn't destitute can afford one, plus plenty of free options for pugs.
[QUOTE=Chihaya;2723147]The devs have commented about this - http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...l=1#post544090
That reply was such a cop out. Im all for in game voice chat in a limited format. A party chat and maybe a free company chat. All the stuff about harassment is just a way for them to be lazy and push you off to another client instead of making their own game the best it could be. If you worried about troll in chat do what you do what troll type blacklist them. Wow had bad voice chat but wow is an old title DCUO had an excellent voice chat setup and yes there were a few troll but I had met some really cool people that I now call friend there.
