FFXIV and voice chat why I hate it and why SE must put one on

A good player will identify where he or she has messed up and will adjust accordingly.

I'd like to add to that "A good party will identify where something got messed up and adjust accordingly". And you don't need VoIP for that. You just need to use your brain and look around you.

Problem is that a lot of players seem to follow guides blindly and will argue with anything deviating from them.

One of the more fun examples is placing meteors in T9... tons of patterns... our approach dump them at the outside and then dump the golems mid... sometimes someone lags or something and a rock will be placed where a golem needs to go. A good party will adjust to that and just move the few yalms over to a safe spot. But seen too many people blindly following guides and wipping.

I think the BEST place you can see where people don't use their brains is in ramuh extreme. All the tank/free rob macros etc...

REX is awful... it's literally just watching the tank debuffs on the party list. When you see the offtank has 3 stacks the orbs are up for grabs for the next thunderstorm. After that thunderstorm, the following one tank will grab again, once that tank is 3 stacks the orbs are fair game again. It's just a rotation yet you gotta spam macros to get people to pay attention. Why is it so hard to pay attention? It feels like people don't really care if they win or not lol.

Hey a person want to use voice chat fine nothing against it, but even for raids don't join someone else party and expect them to run it the way you want them to.

way to quote tour self I all ready have the mumble and TS apps on my iPad the problem isn't with me its people who just join one and if there isn't a server they just leave IV no problem joining party's who want to use voice just don't expect me to have a server to share I shouldn't have to prove this but now I'm starting to think that I should just buy a server and if it has to be rented no not doing it because I'm tired of people being whinny when they not being catered to their demands

Now think of this though if SE doesn't wana build it them selves then they should at lest look in to the option of having one of these programs put in.

When you get right down to it this isn't really an issue with voice its the people. You can clear any thing on here with out it can it be harder well that's an opinion by players and experience the real problem is party's blocking others from content because of this and people rage quiting before your even in the instance because there's nothing and can't pay attention them selves.

Now is voice needed no its not.
Can it help that's debatable by player experience and preference.
The real problem the people.

Furthermore I can probably make sense of some of the badly written english-like(?) doodle some players type but I won't understand their high pitched prepubescent Texas accent riddled kiddy slang. Sorry.
