You should read your posts before hitting submit. So was filling a pug T10 the other day when some one asked my most hated thing......TS info? I hate voice chat yes it helps maybe half the time but no it's not needed. I told them I don't have a server I'm not paying to buy rent or how ever it works better things to spend my money on not go a spend it on something I hate i all ready spent money on the TS and Mumble apps not spending more on it.
So party at last fills AGAIN some one asked TS info told them unless they got a server we not using it then they left whole party disbanded.
Here's how this should work people if you really need voice that bad then get your own server and share the others don't wana spend money on it so get it and share if you need so bad other wise go in to the raid just listen to the sound effects.
SE please consider something for voice chat in at lest end game raids this reliance on out side programs can limit people's game play.
I highlighted the extra-WTF parts, because wtf.
Also, spend a few minutes googling your issue, there are many of free options and alternatives.
It's not mandatory but makes every fight easier. Especially in the instances where someone messed up and needs to call out for someone to pick up a mechanic for them. Imagine trying to progress in t13 without any voip. It'd take at least twice as long.

There won't be a built-in VOIP for this game. It's not just because of abuse, but because of the server load and population using it. They could only setup something cheap and crappy, which just means almost everyone who uses VOIP on a regular basis simply use TS3, Vent, Mumble or Raidcall, because they are better. It is not worth sacrificing a lot of server power to make a built-in VOIP that only a very small minority will use.

I "used" to play CoD because I got tired of hearing 10 year old kids swearing and screaming in my ear. Also you do realize that this game is not hard enough to warrant an in-game voice chat. The Souls series has no voice chat so people adapt by reacting instead of being told what to do, which is what always happens. Im not saying that voip is bad as it its great when used for learning but its a tool that too many people have become dependent on far more than just observing, reacting and memorizing which are the core values of every mechanic since the conception of games starting with pong to now.
I would leave it as is and if people don't join your group because there's no ts, they either have no confidence in their skills, need to be told what to do or just like talking.
Not in favor of in-game voice chat at all. My free mumble server does me just fine.

...you DO know that both of those are completely free if all you're running is the client, right? Heck, they both have clients for Android and iOS as well if you're on PS3/4 and want to use your phone for voice chat. (If your preferred group using TS, then I can see the annoyance, since the mobile client for that costs money, but Mumble has a free official client for iOS and an unofficial-but-still-really-good free one for Android called Plumble).
WHy do many people make posts like this? Like they actually work with SE and know their intentions. SE has already made several claims and then changed their mind so it's not like voice chat is impossible.
Because discussions like these have been done to death and it ends up just spewing the same circlejerk replies over and over again and goes nowhere.
I'm sure voice chat is kind of low on the list for Square's things to do.
