Indeed! Just look at how rebellious he looks. And if you look close enough, you might see all of the acne scars on his face.
The second we got that little baby dragon, I instantly knew that he'll be our pet Dragon in the expansion.

Ha! You're just excited that you Dragoons finally have your pet back.

I don't think this is the case, but... that'd be awesome if it was.
Well, it kind of fits in with the lore.
Hydealyn is no longer watching over us. Our powers have been revoked by Midgardsormr. But doing so, he realised that we were chosen by Hydealyn, not born or gifted with our powers of the Warrior of Light. Our Protector is now Midgardsormr. In a cut scene, the Dragon Minion is clearly is him, as he summons himself and speaks to us in the Rolling Stones. So he's now our protector, resurrected as a Dragon, can summon himself, move, talk, yet doesn't possess the ability to grow?
Look at the feet of both Dragons as well. Both red.

Furthermore, Midgardsormr did state that his minion form was temporary. It wouldn't be unreasonable, considering a dragon of his size, to grow into the size of the mount in such a short time.Well, it kind of fits in with the lore.

As a serious answer, take a look at the head profile (especially the fins) and the scale pattern on the lower part of the neck. Yeah, no question, that's a mount-size 'Sormr. It was a little unclear at the reveal because of the upper neck armor (and confusion over whether it was scales or armor), but with what we know now and the fact that the name was "secret" at the time of the reveal, yeah, it's absolutely Midgardsormr. Can't wait for 2.5.2 to see how this come about.
This also means we get an entire expansion of snarky dragon commentary, don't we. :V
Always remember, please be careful.
